For those who cannot use mediation, we offer personalized Divorce Coaching and Consulting services, providing one-on-one guidance and support throughout the pre-divorce, divorce, and post-divorce life adjustments. What kind of audience do you target your business towards?
Our target audience at Comeiro Mediation Services is individuals who are navigating the complexities of divorce, whether they're considering a divorce, are currently in the process, or have already made the difficult decision to part ways. We cater to couples who have reached a point where they know that divorce is the best option for their relationship but struggle to find common ground on the terms of their separation. Our expertise lies in helping these individuals and couples find a mutually beneficial and amicable solution, ensuring a smoother and less stressful transition into their new life.
What is your work inspired by?
At Comeiro Mediation Services, we're driven by the recognition that divorce is a life-changing experience that often lacks adequate support and guidance. The stigma surrounding divorce can be overwhelming, perpetuating feelings of shame and failure. That's why we strive to approach our work with compassion, empathy, and understanding. We're inspired by the medical professionals who provide care and support to individuals navigating traumatic experiences, such as a devastating health diagnosis. We believe that divorce can be just as traumatic, and it's essential to acknowledge the emotional toll it takes on individuals and families. Our goal is to empower couples to view their divorce as a transformative experience, rather than a source of pain and suffering. By doing so, we aim to help them navigate the process with greater peace, clarity, and resilience.
How have your previous experiences prepared you for a mediator role at Comeiro Mediation?
As a team of experienced divorce mediators and coaches, we bring a unique combination of formal training and personal expertise to the table. Joie is a certified Divorce Mediator and Coach, while Mark, who is retired from the United States Navy, holds a master’s degree in Conflict Resolution and is a trained Mediator. But what sets us apart is our shared personal experience of navigating our own divorces. We've walked in our client's shoes, and we know firsthand the emotional toll that divorce can take. That´s why we're committed to changing the face of mediation, making it more compassionate, supportive, and empowering for individuals and couples. Our approach is characterized by a high level of professionalism and expertise, combined with empathy and active listening.
We recognize that the divorce process can be overwhelming, which is why we offer practical support but at Comeiro Mediation Services, we treat each client like family because we believe that's what's missing in the divorce process – a sense of care, understanding, and connection. By providing this unique blend of expertise, empathy, and support, we're helping our clients navigate their divorces with greater dignity, confidence, and peace.

Our goal is to empower our clients to make informed decisions and achieve a fair agreement. As mediators, we don't provide legal advice, but we work closely with attorneys to ensure that the agreement is legally sound. We also provide guidance on creating a parenting plan that works for everyone involved, as well as practical tips for co-parenting.
We believe that education is key, so we take the time to explain each step of the divorce process in detail. Our goal is to ensure that our clients have a complete understanding of what they're getting into and what they can expect. We also help our clients articulate their thoughts and feelings, which can be incredibly helpful in communicating with their spouses during mediation. We know that effective communication is key to a successful mediation. When the divorce is finalized, we're here to help our clients adjust to life without their spouses. We do this by helping them set clear goals and values and providing support and guidance as they work towards a brighter future.

Our ultimate goal is to redefine the stigma surrounding divorce, recognizing it as a natural and necessary part of life's journey. By doing so, we hope to help as many people as possible find closure, healing, and a renewed sense of purpose, ultimately changing the way society views divorce as a transformative opportunity for growth and renewal.
Tell us about your greatest career achievement.
Our greatest career achievement is not a specific milestone or award, but rather the profound impact we've had on the lives of our clients. It's the quiet, yet profound, transformation we've witnessed when someone who felt lost and overwhelmed in their divorce journey begins to find peace, clarity, and renewal. We're proud to work in a field where discretion is paramount, and we're honored that our clients trust us enough to share their most intimate struggles and triumphs with us.
Recently, we had a couple tell us that they'll miss us after their divorce is final – a testament to the bond we've formed and the trust they've placed in us.
