Me 4 years ago:
It’s 3:00 am and I’m just lying there, staring at the ceiling, and listening to the sound of my husband making happy sleeping noises. My mind is racing with anxious thoughts and I’m wide awake for the umpteenth night in a row.
I was stuck in what I now call the burnout cycle where daytime stress might escalate to anxiety, leading to nighttime restlessness, or insomnia, daytime fatigue and irritability, increasing stress, and so on.
For me, I’d been in the cycle for months, and it was impacting my health, relationships, and my ability to focus on my patients.
I needed to end this uncomfortable pattern so I went on a quest to find a solution.
After a couple of false starts, I wound up learning a simple, swift, and strain-free way to break through the burnout cycle, once and for all.
Me Present Day:
I consistently enjoy 7-8 hour, deep and restful sleep, and wake with energy and vitality to share, all while feeling peace in my body.
I calmed my busy mind, and I stopped getting stuck in thought loops. I barely ever use words like overwhelm and frustrated in my day-to-day life, because I rarely find myself in those states anymore.
My thoughts don’t loiter on what happened in the past, and I don’t get freaked out about the future.
I’m kind again, it’s like I’m back in a warm cozy home listening with patience and compassion ‒ both to myself and others.
I take really good care of myself, nurturing my body by eating well and moving in a way I love.
I’ve been a naturopathic doctor for 15 years. I know what’s important when it comes to looking after one’s self. But before I personally went through the process that I take my clients through as a Brain-Based Transformation Coach, the knowledge wasn’t enough.
I knew what to do, but I wasn’t doing it. I just couldn’t, or wouldn’t. I didn’t need more information. I needed transformation. And now on the other side of that, I can do those things easily and effortlessly.
Here’s what I’ve noticed…
My habits are healthier and very consistent.
My thoughts are kinder, stronger, more resourceful, and more resilient.
My feelings are happier, and easier to manage.
My body is leaner, having released 30 pounds so far. She’s calmer and also more vitalized.
How is this all possible?
Simply, I’ve tapped into the power of my unconscious mind and harnessed it for good by clearing and reprogramming negative emotions and events out of my past.
I’ve replaced old brain habits and patterns so that now my mind is literally coded for joy, peace, and energy.
That’s my new normal. Every day.
The breakthrough process that I’ve certified in (and that I have gone through twice as a client in the past year) isn’t about providing information. We have the internet for that. Instead, it’s about reprogramming how the unconscious mind remembers the past so that you can experience happiness in the present moment, which is something you’re wanting isn’t it?
Wouldn’t it be incredible to experience this same transformational power? You’d wake every morning rested, so excited to start your day that you might spontaneously smile in the shower. Who knows? You’d spend the day calm and grounded, being the person you want to be: smart, witty, on-fire, and kicking butt, right?
In a way, it’s like neurological alchemy. The mind recodes the pain of the past and catalyzes it to transform (like a beautiful butterfly) into a positive and self-determining experience, one where you get to choose how you think, feel, respond, and behave. You can see the power in that, can’t you?
The recoding allows the body to release the chains that come when we try to contain or repress the past. Once those chains fall to the ground, you’re free to access your healing power within ‒ that perfect blueprint of wellness and health that exists within you.
The techniques used throughout the breakthrough are gentle, safe, easy, and efficient. Very unlike traditional talk therapy, this work is content free. I as the practitioner rarely know what it is that my client is clearing. This is good for a number of reasons that I can write about in another article.
Here’s an example from a recent client session:
This young woman and I were clearing a series of traumatic memories and emotions from when she was young. There was a perpetrator who’s choices affected her family dramatically.
After 15 minutes we were done with the trauma clearing technique. She said, “I kinda wanna look that guy up now.”
Hmm… I thought and said, “If every behavior has a positive intention for you, what would be the positive intention of looking him up?”
We both released tears as she said, “To see if he’s okay, now.”
Neurological alchemy. She went from anger, rage, hurt, fear, terror, and helplessness to compassion, curiosity, and kindness.
Her life will be different because the pain of the past is no longer dictating her life. What a bright future she has now. Interestingly, her body pain cleared shortly after this because her unconscious mind could now focus her internal resources on healing.
She didn’t need more suggestions about stretching, or how to do specific exercises to overcome her body pain. She knew what to do and (unlike my personal example above) was doing all the helpful things.
What she needed was for her mind to transform how it related to the past. Then and only then could she effectively heal. And she did.
