He is a strong advocate for using decentralized technologies to create a more equitable and decentralized society. He views helping others as the best way to help himself and has the goal of onboarding as many people into crypto and web3 as possible.

Introduce yourself! Please tell us about you and your life, so we can get to know you better.

Nice to meet you, my name is Eric and I hope you are having an amazingly wonderful day.

Hobbies include chess, Muay Thai, reading, fine dining, hiking, firearms, world travel, meditation, and much more.

My favorite activity is relentless self-improvement and continuously optimizing my life. My top 3 traits are endless endurance, top-tier perception, and antifragility.

Past experience includes ad optimization for Snap Inc, consulting for fortune 500 through the Chapter 11 bankruptcy process, Dark Matter research at Carnegie Melon University with my brother's team, and helping found CartRev, a social commerce platform that had over 100 Shopify Brands using its SAAS platform.

Presently, I am with the Apple of Web3, SHOPX, and view growth as my main responsibility. By growth, I mean growth of tokenized software license holder value.

What is SHOPX?

SHOPX is the Apple of web3. We are a suite of easy to use products that will allow eCommerce brands the ability to earn revenue in web3 without diluting the brand value. We’ve made brand onboarding so easy my lovely grandmother was able to deploy a smart contract from within

Shopify in less than 3 minutes.

What are key advantages of operating in a web3 world?

It’s well known that what the smartest people are doing on the weekend is what everyone else will be doing in 10 years. The smartest people are presently working on web3 on the weekend and some of the reasons are as follows:

Web3 offers the opportunity for a collective owned future over a corporate or government owned future where we have more opportunity to own/monetize our creativity and have private property on the internet. This is all built on composability, the concept of the compound interest of software. In web3 we are all incentivized to work together.

What is your Why behind SHOPX?

My overall goal is to have a nice peaceful life. Can’t do that if the money is corrupt and I view crypto/web3 as the solution to corrupt money. The best way for me personally to onboard as many people into crypto as possible is through SHOPX. If SHOPX onboards one major brand, which we have, then that brand offers incentive for their customers to onboard their customers into web3 and everyone wins.

Are there any SHOPX updates that truly excite you?

Of course, ZK Rollups will massively help with scalability, we even have a handshake agreement with zkSync.

ReserveX is fantastic and eCommerce brands are getting up to 80% conversion rates, but SourceX blockchain-based supply chain management.

Lastly, our partnership with the Token Society will greatly speed up mass adoption! Being part of many startups, how did you adjust to bad news?

I do not believe in “bad news”. All events are neutral, what is not neutral is the meaning that we get to assign to sed events. This is powerful as we get to decide what is bad news and what is good news.

Here’s a quick story highlighting this fact:

A farmer and his son had a beloved horse who helped the family earn a living. One day, the horse ran away and their neighbors exclaimed, “Your horse ran away, what terrible luck!” The farmer replied, “Maybe so, maybe not.”

A few days later, the horse returned home, leading a few wild horses back to the farm as well. The neighbors shouted out, “Your horse has returned, and brought several horses home with him. What great luck!” The farmer replied, “Maybe so, maybe not.”

Later that week, the farmer’s son was trying to break one of the horses and she threw him to the ground, breaking his leg. The neighbors cried, “Your son broke his leg, what terrible luck!” The farmer replied, “Maybe so, maybe not.”

A few weeks later, soldiers from the national army marched through town, recruiting all boys for the army. They did not take the farmer’s son, because he had a broken leg. The neighbors shouted, “Your boy is spared, what tremendous luck!” To which the farmer replied, “Maybe so, maybe not. We’ll see.”

Do you have any advice for up and coming entrepreneurs?

Perhaps, my suggestion would be to be your authentic self. This helps you enter alignment and be in flow with the universe. When acting authentically, you will attract who you are meant to attract and repel who you are meant to repel.

There has never been anyone better at being you than you, when you act authentically you are literally the greatest of all time at doing that.

This is easier said than done, as true courage is not caring what others think.

What’s the difference between a king and his horse? If their form, ability, and power are exactly the same, why is it that one becomes the king and leads them into battle, while the other becomes the horse and carries the king?

Instinct, another word for instinct is gut feeling. Your instinct or gut feeling is powerful as your subconscious mind is paying attention to everything and expresses itself through your instinct.

This was one of our greatest interviews, thank you very much! Do you have any pieces of advice you want to leave our audience?

Of course, there are millions of things I could say but here are my top 3 at the moment: Learn to let go, be a perpetual learner, and happiness is a choice.
