It is interesting how we often ask for something to change in our life then when change comes we resist it! The thought of transitions in life being easy as we move from one area in to the next never quite seems to pan out in that ideological way.
How do you know if you should be making changes in your life? There are often many signs that appear during times of change to let us know that in fact, that change is needed. Here are some examples and what you can do to help ease the situation.
1. Things are going wrong:
Are you in a place in your life where it just seems to be one of those years? Maybe you have situations arising in all areas of your life which are causing you discombobulation. I remember the year 2015/2016 when I experienced this; my mother-in-law had a stroke, a stop work order was placed upon the builders in our home, I started a new job which did not go well from the beginning, and everything me and my hubby touched turned to crap! This was the beginning for me to leave teaching career and put 100% into my business. I think we can all remember one of those years when everything is going wrong. I am sure that each of you reading this can also attest that those things also put you onto a different path that you would have not expected at the time the events were occurring.
When your life is in turmoil it is time to reflect on your long-term goals and even relationships. There is something that needs to be addressed. A good strategy is to do some free writing to see what comes up. You may also wish to take some time to meditate or ask for guidance in your dreams. You are being given a big push by the universe to make that change! Do yourself a favour by not resisting and taking some action to make some change before it gets too ugly! I always say if you know change is needed do it instead of waiting for the universe to make you do it! It’s far less painful that way.
2. Sudden illness or an accident:
This can be a very painful experience, excuse the pun as it's not just about physical pain. At times when we have not been listening to the messages and signs that have been given to us something very abrupt can occur in our life. Now I want to make it clear that I am not saying you have manifested or attracted these into your life knowingly. What I am saying is that sometimes everything we know has to break down before we can rebuild. For some it is their health. This accident or illness is there to show some a number of things. I believe when people come out of the other side the first thing, they realize is their strength. Next, there is so much gratitude for life itself. People may also get to see what an amazing support system they have. Lastly, people may see what they have to put in place to create balance within their life.
What are some things to do if you find yourself in this situation? The first is gratitude. It is super hard when you are sick or on a healing journey not to focus on that one thing, as you are living it. However, do you best every day to focus on what you do have instead of what you don’t. Know that this is a time that you are to take to rest. Maybe you did not take time before and now you have been forced. Release the guilt around not being able to do what you usually do and allow yourself the time to heal. This is a journey of healing and at times going within so when you come out the other side you are the best version of yourself. A strategy to help you maybe journaling or creating a healing video collection.
3. Financial Strife:
The paradigms in which we are brought up and surrounded by often show up many times within our life. When looking at your finances do things swing from good to really bad? Maybe you never get to good! This maybe a harder one for some people to accept however, the money we receive is a direct reflection of our self worth and the service we provide.
Before you lose your cool understand this! Money is energy and it flows in the same way any energy does. I am not saying that if you are struggling with money its because you are a bad person. It can be from all the experiences you’ve had surrounding money as a child. Think of all the social programming around having money and being rich seen as being greedy. Money is the root of all evil! When the bible quotes it is the ‘love’ of money that is the root of all evil.
If you do carry worthiness issues from any trauma you have experienced then this can also show through the flow of your finances. This is not a conscious act, more of a subconscious act!
How can you break the patterns you have surrounding money? Begin by looking at your family’s history. Do you come from a background of working class or middle class? Have you chosen a career that your family do not agree with? What are some of the common things you hear surrounding money? What are your beliefs around an abundance of money? Take some time to mediate or journal to become aware of these patterns.
These were some examples of how you know that it is time to makes some changes in your life. I aimed to pick one in a few major areas in life. However, it really does depend on what lesson it is that is being learned and what needs to be changed, and obviously this varies from person to person. Either way you may be on a healing journey that ultimately requires some change! I think it is super important to know that sometimes the universe has your back and that even accidents and health issues can be a blessing in disguise! Would you like to go deeper in this area?
