In a world rich with diverse spiritual paths, no one has the authority to dictate how you connect with the divine. The idea that someone’s relationship with God grants them the power to police others’ spiritual practices is not only flawed but also dangerous.

Why no one in this world has the right to police your relationship with the Divine

In a world filled with diverse beliefs, perspectives, and cultures, the idea that one person’s relationship with God grants them the authority to control, judge, or dictate the beliefs of others is not only flawed but dangerous. These individuals, often operating from an inflated sense of self-importance, adopt what can only be described as a “God complex,” a belief that their special relationship with the divine places them above others, making them exceptional, untouchable, and often, self-appointed moral gatekeepers.

What is perhaps most alarming is that many of these individuals are otherwise unremarkable in their accomplishments. They may lack significant achievements in their personal or professional lives, but their conviction that they are “chosen” or uniquely in tune with God gives them a sense of power. This imagined authority allows them to police the spiritual practices of others, control how others engage with the divine, and impose their narrow worldview on those around them.

The core of this issue is the belief that there is one “right” way to commune with God, a one-size-fits-all approach to spirituality. This mindset ignores the profound truth that we are nearly 9 billion people on this planet, each with our own unique path, beliefs, and relationships with the divine. Every individual’s spiritual journey is deeply personal, informed by their experiences, culture, and inner calling. To claim ownership over the spiritual lives of others is to ignore the beauty and necessity of diversity in belief systems.

Moreover, no person, regardless of their spiritual convictions, has the right to stand between you and your relationship with the divine. There should be no intermediaries, no middlemen dictating how you should experience your faith or spirituality. The relationship between an individual and God is sacred and intimate, and no one has the right to dictate or impose upon that connection.

As Pluto moves into Aquarius, a transit that will shape the next two decades, we’re entering an era that will cut out all middlemen.

Aquarius is the sign of individuality, innovation, and breaking away from outdated systems. With Pluto’s energy of transformation and power, this shift will demand personal sovereignty over spiritual experiences. The days of relying on so-called gatekeepers or authorities to tell you how to live spiritually are numbered. This powerful energy will push each of us to take responsibility for our own relationship with the divine. No more intermediaries; your life is between you and the divine.

We must also challenge the idea that living a “godly” life means one has the right to enforce their views on others. People with God complexes often believe that because they live by a certain standard or code, it’s their duty to ensure others follow suit. However, this ignores the fact that the way one person sees and lives life is not necessarily how everyone should see or live it. What works for one may not work for another, and that’s okay. Spirituality is not a competition, nor is it a rigid formula with the same result for all who follow it. It’s a journey that is meant to be personal and varied.

In the end, no human being is above another. We are all equals, each with our own journey, purpose, and divine connection. The beauty of humanity lies in its diversity and the countless ways we can interpret, explore, and express our spirituality. We don’t need self-appointed spiritual gatekeepers telling us how to live our lives. We don’t need people acting as though they hold the keys to heaven while the rest of us are fumbling in the dark.

We must remember: your relationship with the divine is yours and yours alone. No one has the right to stand in the way of that. We are all on a level playing field, every last one of us. There is no hierarchy in spirituality, only the path that calls to each of us. With Pluto in Aquarius, this truth will become undeniable. The sooner we reject the notion of the spiritual middleman, the sooner we can reclaim the personal, empowering relationship each of us is meant to have with the divine.
