As a Twinsburg Naturally Beautiful Ohio resident, I'm blessed to experience all four seasons. Some I enjoy more than others, but it's beautiful to see the seasons' changes. Seasons occur because of God's design and perfect plan for the world's ecological system. The beauty of the seasons is a profound source of inspiration, each offering its own unique aesthetic and emotional resonance. As nature goes through seasons, we experience spring, summer, fall, and winter in our life journey.

"There is a time for everything and a season for every activity under heaven." – Ecclesiastes 3:1

How can you draw inspiration from the beauty of each season?

Autumn: The beauty of transition

The deep reds, oranges, and yellows of autumn leaves create a warmth. The crinkle of fallen leaves, the crisp air, and the softer light of autumn all contribute to a sense of change. The change can inspire themes of transformation, letting go, or the bittersweet beauty of endings. The bounty of the harvest season, with its fruits, vegetables, and grains, symbolizes abundance and preparation for winter. Sometimes, I reflect on this season as a time to prepare for transition. I recall some hard moments in this season when you had to let go, and it may be bittersweet.

Especially when parents have to adjust to having young adults and let go of them to grow and explore. Many parents may drop off their college students to start their journey on campus. Some parents are letting go because the young adult is now getting married, and life begins to change again. Some are letting go because of death or divorce. Some are letting go of their careers to pursue entrepreneurship. Some are letting go, moving to another state, or leaving the country. Some are letting go because of health issues they may have to accept for now until healing comes. There are many different transition movements. Take a moment to embrace your transition and bittersweet letting-go moments.

Winter: The beauty of stillness journey

The stark beauty of a snow-covered landscape, with its whites and grays, offers a minimalist aesthetic that can inspire work focusing on simplicity and purity. The quietness of winter, where sound is muffled by snow, can inspire contemplative and reflective work. Music, poetry, and other arts focusing on inner thoughts and feelings can draw from this serene beauty—the cold, crisp air outside with the warmth of a cozy fire or candlelight indoors.

Sometimes, I reflect on this season as a time when suffering or painful life moments may occur not in time but in the beauty of the aesthetics of the season. This is the least favorite of my seasons because I wouldn't say I like the cold and the gray, but I still see the beauty in this season after the coldness or the stillness. There are many ways of suffering during our life journey that we can not avoid even if we try to. For example, we will all experience health issues, problems in relationships, financial crises, and even death. We want to bypass or avoid this season, but it's part of our life journey.

We continue to stay strong in our faith during the season of suffering or pain. God is with us; he will never leave or forsake you, even through the worst seasons. The beauty in this season sometimes comes to the closer moments with God. In our valley moments, we find peace through the storm of life. Or maybe you're experiencing the winter blues because that comes with this season. No matter how you try to create beauty, it's wintertime, and some of us just push through it.

Spring: The beauty of awakening

The beauty of spring lies in the explosion of color as flowers bloom and trees regain their leaves. This vibrant renewal can inspire design filled with bright, lively colors. The tender, fresh leaves and blossoms symbolize fragile beginnings, offering a reminder of the beauty in new ventures or ideas that are just starting to take shape. The return of animals, birds, and insects creates a lively, dynamic scene. Their activity can inspire movement in dance, rhythm in music, or themes of rebirth and playfulness.

Sometimes, I reflect on this season with these words, "Lord, what do I need to change to be a better person?" What do you want me to do to bring joy to your world? Please help me to be more faithful and committed to you and my life purpose. Help me not to complain, but be thankful for all my blessings. Please help me to have peace and not be fearful.

Please help me to be joyful, not bitter, angry, or resentful. Please help me to be humble, not proud or arrogant. This awakening season let me see purpose and how I can be a better person. The springtime season helps us start awakening and rediscovering our purpose in life. Take a moment to think about new ventures and ideas to shape your life for this season. It's your time to blossom with a new start and new beginnings.

Summer: The beauty of abundance

Summer's long days and golden sunlight create warm, rich tones in nature. The fullness of trees, fields of green, and blooming gardens reflect abundance and life at its peak. This can inspire those who celebrate fullness, prosperity, and the richness of life. The carefree and joyful summer vibe, with beach days, picnics, and outdoor adventures, can inspire a sense of freedom and joy in your creations.

Sometimes, I reflect on this season. It is time for women worldwide to come into their season of promise. Those who have not given up and continued to press, this is your season to walk into your promises. God gives us grace and strength to make it and see victory in what we have prayed for. There is a plan for you. I love the scripture of Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give hope and a future.
