“The heart is the primary organ of sense, hence the first cause of experience. When you look on the heart you're looking at your assumptions. Assumptions determine your experience. Watch your assumptions with all diligence for out of it are the issues of life.” (Neville Goddard, The Power of Awareness)

One of the meanings of the word “Heart”, as we tend to use it, is Center. Dr. Joe Dispenza calls the Heart our “Creative Center”. We say “the heart of the city”, “the heart of the team” etc. Indeed the heart is the primary factor of a matter.

Dr. Joe Dispenza explains: “your heart is electric and when you activate it, when it starts beating coherently, it begins to produce a field, an energy or frequency up to three meters wide. That frequency carries information.”

In the Hebrew language, the free translation of the term “ to pay attention” to something would be “to put or place your heart” on it.

If we bring together the linguistic meaning of this term in Hebrew and Dr Joe's explanation of the energetic field the heart creates and the information it emits, we can understand what Neville tells us even more deeply:

What you know in your heart of hearts, what you give your attention to, your assumption, your concept of yourself and what you accept as true is what you are emitting as information into the quantum field, which returns to you as experiences in your life. “As a man thinketh in his heart, so is he” (The book of Proverbs, 23:7)

How can you apply these concepts and understanding to improve your life?

How can you create coherence between what you really want and what you actually have in your life?

You must know it by heart.

How do you know something by heart?

Through repetition.

By repeating over and over again a verse, a presentation, material for an exam or a certain musical piece or dance combination you memorize it, you repeat it over and over again until you know it by heart.

That is exactly how you can change your habitual thinking, that is governed by your subconscious programming, which resides in your heart of hearts. By repeating over and over again new thoughts, affirmations, meditations and visualizations you train yourself to put your attention on (“put your heart on”) these certain thoughts, images and emotions that are in harmony with what you desire.

Science now knows that the heart send signals to the brain, that have a significant effect on the brains function. When the heart is in coherence these signals are improving the nervous system, hormonal balance and even gene expression.

As Dr Joe Dispenza explains: “heart coherence begins with the steady, coherent drumbeat of the heart through cultivating, practicing and sustaining elevated emotions, including gratitude, appreciation, thankfulness, inspiration, freedom, kindness, selflessness, compassion, love and joy. The benefits of that coherent beat are felt throughout all systems of the body”.

“Blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see God.” (Matthew 5:8)
