The giants of the tech world are set to go head-to-head in a cage fight battle in a bout that is set to light up the web.
Elon Musk levelled a challenge at Meta CEO, Mark Zuckerberg, on Twitter in response to gathering rumours that Meta is considering launching a Twitter rival. He stated he was "up for a cage match if he is" to which Zuckerberg responded with "send me location". The exchange took place on Twitter in front of the millions who follow either or both men.
Now Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) pundits are rubbing their hands in glee; as a battle between these two entrepreneurs could draw an audience of hundreds of millions. UFC boss Dana White told the press: "There's no limit on what this thing can make.” He added that he had spoken to both Zuckerberg and Musk and stated: "Both guys are absolutely dead serious about this."
Musk has continued to tweet about the potential bout, joking: "I have this great move that I call "The Walrus", where I just lie on top of my opponent & do nothing." He also tweeted: "I almost never work out, except for picking up my kids & throwing them in the air." In contrast, Zuckerberg is a jiu-jitsu champion and Meta is not commenting on the potential of a fight.
