It may seem counterintuitive, but there’s a reason we examine your past in therapy. Your past holds your experiences. But it’s not just your past experiences we need to look at. In Rapid Transformational Therapy (RTT), we go a step further. In RTT, I use hypnosis to examine the experiences of your past that are living in your subconscious mind. Your subconscious mind holds your beliefs, emotions, behaviours, values, habits, and long-term memory.

As much as you want to move forward and forget about the past, you cannot. The past is living inside your body and subconscious mind (that controls 95-98% of you), and it is driving your present and, therefore, your future.

There is a reason why you feel stuck in your life. There is a reason why you feel lost, frustrated, confused, anxious and not good enough.

You think that if you just work harder, try harder, push, force, “go go go,” things in your life will work out. Be it career goals, relationship goals, or even just finally feeling happier and less anxious and stressed.

I hate to break it to you: no amount of force or striving forward is going to get you to where you want to go. Whether you realize it or not, the reason you aren’t going forward in your life in the way you desire is because you have not taken the time to go back.

What I mean by going back is going back to past versions of yourself, your past wounds, your past pain, your past traumas. The past versions of you are what formed the beliefs living in your subconscious mind. Your subconscious beliefs control your life. Until you go back and work through them, those beliefs and wounds are going to keep showing up in your life as you try to move forward.

You may not realize how little control you actually have in your daily life. The past versions of yourself and the beliefs and wounds you carry are what is ultimately in control.

If you want to move forward in your career but there is a part of you that is afraid of failure (or afraid of success) that part of you is in control. No matter how hard you force or try, until you go back and heal that, you won’t move forward.

If you want a healthy relationship, but there is a deeper part of you that feels unworthy or unloveable, that part of you is in control. No matter how many people you date, you’ll keep ending up disappointed until you go back and heal that part of you.

If you want more money, but there is a deeper part of you that feels like it is unavailable to you, that part of you is in control. No matter how much you try, you’ll keep ending up back in that subconscious belief.

I know it seems easier just to force your way forward. I promise you the easiest way to go forward is to go back first.

Go back to the version of you at three years old who felt unworthy when her mother abandoned her. Once you do, you will build your self-worth and attract all you want to attract.

Go back to that version of you at seven who got yelled at for making a mistake and formed a belief that he was incapable of anything. Once you do, you will get over that fear of failure.

Go back to that version of you at five who experienced money being taken away easily and formed a belief that money will never stay. Once you do, you will move through that fear and attract more money.

You form most of your subconscious beliefs before you are 13 years old. During the first years of your life, you are living in a semi-hypnotic state. Because your brainwaves are operating in your subconscious mind only, most of your feelings and beliefs are formed during these years and have been stuck inside you since then.

We are all children walking around in adult bodies. We’re operating, making decisions, and attracting things into our lives based on the beliefs from our past. As much as you may not want to go back to your past, it’s living inside you already. As scared as you may be to face your past, it’s scarier to keep being stuck in the same place in your current life.

Your past is living inside you whether you’re ready to face it or not. I promise you that facing your past is an incredibly liberating experience. Healing those old wounds, that old pain, hurt, and trauma, and learning to meet the needs of the younger version of you will help liberate you. And it is ultimately the answer to all your dreams and goals.

You have to go back to go forward. If you’re ready to go back to your past, or if you’re curious about the power of Rapid Transformational Therapy (RTT), I have a free connection call for us to chat. Releasing you from the beliefs of your past is my specialty. Book your free call here.
