What is manifestation?

You’ve probably heard of manifestation and the law of attraction, especially since the release of the book and movie "The Secret" by Rhonda Byrne, which unveiled the ability for everyone to realize their dreams simply through their thoughts. Manifestation is based on the idea that the universe is composed of vibrational energy and that your thoughts and emotions have the power to influence this energy. In other words, your reality is the result of your thoughts and emotions.


According to neuroscience, manifestation is the process by which thoughts influence your behavior, and thus your reality, by creating neurological conditions that favor this process. Manifestation corresponds to the brain's ability to reprogram itself. The tools used in the manifestation process strengthen positive neural circuits, reduce stress, and promote coherence and alignment.


This can be explained first by the brain’s ability to reconfigure itself following experiences. This is known as neuroplasticity. Positive thoughts can lead to changes in brain circuits by strengthening the neural connections associated with those thoughts. But that’s not all! Visualizing a specific goal also reprograms your reticular activating system (RAS), allowing you to unconsciously direct your attention to surrounding elements that will favor the achievement of your goals. These positive thoughts also activate reward circuits, which help release neurotransmitters like dopamine, increasing your motivation to take concrete actions due to enhanced well-being and satisfaction.


Finally, practicing positive thinking, visualization, and meditation activates your parasympathetic system, reducing stress and anxiety while improving creativity, decision-making, and task execution.


How to manifest?


Define your vision

The first step is to listen—not to your family or friends, but to yourself! Knowing what you truly desire and having a clear vision is often the most challenging part. Many people want to be in a relationship, have a career, or make money but are not specific enough about their vision. It’s not always easy to face yourself, to drop the masks that protect you, and to live your emotions, even the most difficult ones. But it is an essential step. Connecting with your true self is crucial to knowing what you really want, deep inside, far from the tumultuous noise of current life.


I invite you to schedule a daily appointment with yourself, stay silent, and listen to your being while letting go of distracting thoughts.


Set goals and a deadline

How do you know if your manifestation has become reality? By setting goals!


  • Specific: Set precise and detailed goals. Ask yourself questions like: What amount do I want to earn? What is the definition of a fulfilling career for me? What type of relationship do I want? What kind of person (in detail) would fulfill me? What is my ideal life routine? What would my days look like if my manifestation were real?

  • Measurable: Define a quantifiable measurement criterion. If you want to manifest financial success, what amount? If you want to manifest better health, what are the results of your blood tests? You can also define milestones over time to break down your goals into smaller objectives.

  • Relevant: Define aligned goals. Make your goals attainable by setting a list of actions coherent with your final goal. What does coherent action mean? Actions you can implement every day that bring you joy and contribute to achieving the final goal. For example, if you want to become a pastry chef, start baking for yourself, your family, and your friends. This corresponds to the universal law of cause and effect, which states that every thought, word, and action produces a corresponding effect. It is important to have daily behavior aligned with the object of your manifestation.

  • Time-bound: Set a deadline. When do you want your manifestation to come true? Set a deadline. 


Note that if you want your manifestation to become reality quickly, it will be important to raise your vibrational frequency. If your vibration is low, the time needed to manifest will be longer. Remember the universal law of polarity: you constantly move from positive to negative; life is not linear. Between situation A, the present moment, and situation B, the moment your manifestation becomes reality, there will be many positive and negative milestones. Each point corresponds to moments, and the time needed to reach another moment is longer if your vibrational frequency is low. However, if your vibrational frequency is high, time passes more quickly.


Raise your vibrational frequency

To start, you can raise your vibrational frequency through daily actions such as practicing gratitude, surrounding yourself with like-minded people, doing things that bring you joy every day, and taking care of yourself with healthy food and movement. Then, energetic techniques can help raise your vibrational frequency and attract more abundance.


Overcome your fears and limiting beliefs

Identify your fears and limiting beliefs. Write down all the thoughts and beliefs that may block you from achieving your dreams based on what you want to manifest. Identify the origin of these thoughts, and then, for each of them, write a positive affirmation to counterbalance and dissipate this limiting belief in your mind.


Visualize the life of your dreams

Use the previous steps to visualize your manifestation. This means projecting yourself into your ideal routine as if you were already living it, connecting with all your senses, and especially feeling immense gratitude linked to the realization of your manifestation.


Let go

And of course, you have to believe. Believe that your manifestation power is real and that all your desires can become reality, as this depends solely on you. The universe and the possibilities within it are infinite! This calls upon several universal laws, including the law of attraction, which states that you attract what you are, as well as the law of responsibility. Taking responsibility for your life and reality is extraordinary because it allows you to realize your infinite power!
