In todays world, most of us can have a lot on our plates at any one time, which can quickly take its toll on our energy and our vibe. For entrepreneurs, this can be particularly challenging, especially when the progress of your business relies on you having the energy to keep taking action.

Brooke Summer Adams, Internationally Accredited Transformation Coach, NLP Master Practitioner, International Speaker, Trainer and Writer and Yahoo Finances’ Top 10 Female Life Coach of 2021, is here today to give you her top tips on keeping your energy high whilst juggling life.

1. Understand that things don’t create feelings, it’s the way you think about it

This may not seem particularly relevant at first, but understanding this concept will completely transform the way you handle your day-to-day life. Although it feels like it’s the endless to-do list that’s draining all your energy and lowering your vibe, it’s more so the way that you’re THINKING about this to-do list, rather than the to-do list itself.

Of course, physical exertion is going to make you tired, and there isn’t too much that can be done about that other than making a choice to exert yourself less. However, choosing helpful ways of thinking about your day-to-day activities will hugely determine the way you feel whilst you’re juggling them.

Understand that the thoughts you have are what determines the emotions you experience, rather than the actual situations themselves.

Think about it for some people, the action of rest makes them feel good. For others, it makes them feel guilty. If rest was the precursor to the feelings these people are experiencing, everyone would experience the same feelings in response to rest but they don’t. The reason some people feel good as a result of rest is because they THINK that rest is a good thing. The reason other people feel guilty as a result of rest is because they THINK it’s a bad thing. It’s not the thing itself, but rather, the way you think about the thing.

Understand this, and apply it to your day-to-day activities. If you THINK that working on your business is an exhausting chore, then that’s how it will feel. If you THINK that working on your business is an exciting opportunity to create the life of your dreams, then that is how it will feel.

This brings us nicely on to the next tip…

2. Get intentional ‒ what you intend to get out of something is the experience you will have

If you intend to “reply to messages” then that is the experience you will have. If you intend to “create connections with beautiful souls” (just a random example) then that is the experience you will have.

Ask yourself, “what is my intention for this activity?” and then bare that intention in mind as you carry it out. You’ll find that the intention you put into it determines the experience you have. The better something feels, the better you’re going to maintain high energy whilst doing it.

3. Time management ‒ in a way that suits your energy

Create yourself a schedule that incorporates everything you’re presently juggling, organised in a way that best suits your energy. Of course, we can’t control the times of everything that needs to be done each day but there will be some things that you can. Struggle to exercise in the evening? Schedule it for the morning! Struggle to get work done on the weekends? Do it in your evenings instead!

If you take the time to work out how best to fit everything in, you don’t have to worry about when or if everything is going to get done this alone allows a huge load of pressure to be released when you’ve got a lot on your plate. Not only this, but by taking the time to work out when best to do each activity, you’ll prevent things getting left out and create a flow that best allows you to keep your energy high throughout the day.

4. Get a coach

If you’ve followed the above tips and are still struggling to keep your energy high whilst juggling life, then it’s time to invest in a coach. A coach will not only be able to help you design your day-to-day life in the way that best suits you and your energy, but they will also be able to help you live intentionally and change the way that you are thinking about things so that the things themselves feel better.
