It is no lie when we look at the ease at which the majority of the Western World has been moving over the past few decades. From the 1950s until now a system has been designed where the majority of people can have what they want NOW and pay later!
Think back to when you left school, got your first job, and your first bank account. Did you experience the push to get your first credit card with your first chequing account? It was just so easy to get that first credit card.
I remember going into a store with my mother and seeing this really fancy set of saucepans that I would have loved. Yet I had blown that £500 credit card limit with nothing to show. In that moment the realization that I could have brought something that would have lasted me years.
Did this stop my terrible spending habits? Of course not. That was it I was already caught in the rat run at the mere age of 18 years old. There was no push to save for what was wanted just the ethos of buy now and pay later.
The older we get the more financial responsibility we take on. Cars, marriage, houses, children, cell phones, holidays, and don’t forget the events such as concerts and festivals. It all comes with a price that most people are trying to pay using nearly minimum paid jobs. In fact the more money you earn the more money you spend and it almost seems hopeless in getting out!
Okay you have a clear picture painted in your mind now right? This wasn’t done to make you feel depressed. Our whole society has been set up to entrap each of us in this way! I’m here to tell you it’s not all your fault.
We are now in the time of Aquarius. For all you folks out there who don’t believe in all that woo-woo shit here are some intriguing things to consider. Currently the pole star or North Star is Polaris. Due to the motion of our earth which is known as procession, the identity of the pole star changes over time. Roughly every 2,150 years the sun’s location moves in front of a new Zodiac constellation. There is much debate of the exact time with some believing it as far back as 2012 up to 2020.
We will begin by thinking about the Aquarius personality traits. This particular zodiac have soaring visions of not only their own future but those of society as well. They are so forward thinking and truly want to make the world a better place. This comes though with a strong sense of freedom, fairness, and strong empathy that this freedom is available to everyone. Knowledge is key and they are often more advanced than the everyday person who may be distracted with insignificant things.
I want you to take a moment and think about what is going on in the world right now. The Age of Aquarius is all about the collective and communal living? This spark of social justice will be eccentric, radical, and based completely on freedom and expression.
The Aquarius energies are going to shift, breakdown, and evolve the current structures that society lives within. There is no doubt that the patriarchy system was created in the time of Pisces and that perhaps these structures are being broken down as we speak. There is a calling toward a collective consciousness.
For many of us now what is happening around us may be the biggest occurrence we have had in our life to date. Everything we knew being stripped away from us. The systems we relied on breaking down. Now enveloped in an uncertainty never experienced before.
This may manifest itself with feelings of; anger, hate, distrust, overwhelm, anxiety, depression, sadness, disbelief, and fear. Know right now that you are not alone if you are experiencing any of these and even maybe some that are not mentioned.
So what can I do about it?
For some of you reading this today becoming an activist to create change may be the perfect medicine. Thinking back to the times of divide in our history; the Christians against the Pagan, the Nazi against the Jews, the whites against the blacks, the settlers against the Indigenous peoples, the have’s against the have not’s. There is still a divide that is being created by our governments, those in power, corporations, and the media right as you read this. What if people such as Martin Luther King, as one example, did not stand up for their beliefs, where would the black community be today? Let’s not beat around the bush the black community are still nowhere near equal nor are our Indigenous communities and something has to change!
If this is speaking to you maybe the time of Aquarius is asking you to step forward, to be authentic, to speak your truth, and to be a part of the change. Always remember that this should be done from a place of love and never hate. It is no good you name calling the people who think differently to you. Stop, listen, like really listen hearing their view, and be open to discourse.
Sitting here writing this I can feel the unease of the rest of you. You don’t want to be a part of the protests, in fact, it gives you so much anxiety to even watch the news or talk about the current issues facing our world. Please do not fret there are things that you can do!
If this is speaking to you and you are nodding the time of Aquarius is asking you to be innovative in your life. You don’t have to change the world you only have to look after you! That is OK! If every human on this earth took some time to heal themselves imagine what our world would look like.
It is time to meet yourself where you are. Come from a place of kindness and love. You may not all believe it but you chose the body you are currently in and the life you are living before you came here. Everything is perfect right here and right now. When we look at perfection it doesn’t mean the perfect; job, house, body, partner, children, family, health, or anything. It means you are where you are and you have to meet yourself there!
Just for today don’t judge your past self with the knowledge you hold now. You didn’t hold that knowledge before.
Just for today don’t worry so far ahead in the future you are overwhelmed with all the things in front of you that are needed to get there.
Just for today, live for today!
It is so true that not one human on this earth is guaranteed anything other than the moment we are living. If you blink that moment has passed and we are in another moment. Learn to live in the here and now and let go of the past and the future.
There are many tools available to help you do this. We live in an age where there is an abundance of information. Trust when you search for the answer it will present itself to you. Maybe this article is that sign. I trust the universe will connect me with my soul contracts. I am a healer and this is my life purpose. Did the stars align and bring us together today? I believe it!
