How Mindfulness and Energy Work Change Lives – Exclusive Interview with Sara Yoggini

In this exclusive interview, we dive into the transformative journey of Sara, a wellness expert who has developed a powerful method for using the alchemy of the mind to heal and manifest positive change. Sara's story is one of resilience, self-discovery, and empowerment, where she learned to harness the incredible power of thoughts and intentions to not only heal herself but also inspire others to do the same.

Having faced significant personal struggles, Sara discovered that true healing begins within the mind. She realized that, just like the ancient practice of alchemy, our thoughts and emotions can be transmuted into something powerful—healing, strength, and transformation. By understanding the deep connection between mind, body, and spirit, Sara developed a method that combines mindfulness, focused intention, and energy work to create lasting change.

Through her method, Sara teaches that healing doesn’t have to be a passive process. Instead, it is an active, intentional practice that requires belief, effort, and the willingness to transform old thought patterns into new, empowering ones. By learning to shift our mental energy, we can begin to manifest the physical and emotional healing we seek, creating a life that aligns with our highest potential.

Sara’s approach emphasizes that the mind is a powerful tool for creation. By consciously choosing our thoughts and setting clear intentions, we can rewrite our reality, heal from past wounds, and step into a life of greater health and fulfillment. Whether you’re looking to overcome emotional pain, manifest personal growth, or simply find peace in your day-to-day life, Sara’s method offers a roadmap to creating meaningful change from the inside out.

Sara, you've had such a profound journey. Can you tell us about the turning points in your life that led you to where you are today?

My journey has been shaped by both incredible challenges and transformative moments. I came from a corporate background in law and finance, but the struggles I faced, including battling Emotionally Unstable Personality Disorder (EUPD), bipolar disorder, trauma, and domestic abuse, were the catalysts for my shift toward wellness. These personal experiences led me to discover yoga, mindfulness, and spirituality—tools that helped me cope with emotional pain and led to a deep spiritual awakening. It was through these practices that I found healing, and they became the foundation for my life as a Yoga Lifestyle Coach and creator of the Ethereal Retreat.

You've had your fair share of obstacles, including a near-death experience. How did that shape your path toward wellness and empowerment?

That near-death experience was a pivotal moment in my life. After suffering from internal bleeding and needing emergency surgery, I faced the real possibility of not surviving. It was in that moment of intense vulnerability that I had a profound spiritual awakening, gaining clarity about my life's purpose. That experience made me realize the importance of healing—not only for myself but for others as well. It shifted my entire perspective and fueled my passion for creating spaces where people could heal, grow, and find empowerment in their own lives.

Your approach to wellness is truly unique, blending yoga, mindfulness, and eco-conscious living. Can you share how these elements are integrated into your work and the Ethereal Retreat?

I believe true healing happens when we harmonize with nature and our inner selves. The Ethereal Retreat is the embodiment of that belief. My work integrates ancient wisdom—like yoga, Ayurveda, and mindfulness—with eco-friendly practices. The retreat itself is designed with sustainability at its core, using renewable energy, eco-friendly materials, and incorporating natural elements to create a space where both personal and environmental healing can occur. By blending wellness practices with a deep commitment to the planet, I hope to show that self-care and sustainability go hand in hand.

You are a strong advocate for mental health awareness. How has your personal experience influenced your advocacy and how you support others?

Having gone through the difficulties of mental health struggles myself, I understand the stigma and isolation that often accompanies it. I’m deeply passionate about breaking that stigma and creating safe spaces where people can talk openly about mental health. My own experiences with mental health challenges, including bipolar disorder and PTSD from trauma, have driven me to help others realize that they are not defined by their struggles. Through my work, I aim to empower people to see their resilience and to create a more inclusive society where everyone has the support they need to heal.

You’ve designed the Ethereal Retreat from the ground up. What inspired you to create such a space, and how does it reflect your personal mission?

The Ethereal Retreat was born from my desire to create a sanctuary for healing, growth, and empowerment. I wanted a space where people could connect with themselves and each other, free from distractions and outside pressures. My personal mission is about combining wellness with sustainability, and I felt the need to bring both aspects into a physical space. The retreat is a reflection of my journey—one of resilience, healing, and the belief that true wellness involves mind, body, and spirit, as well as the environment.

What role do you see the Ethereal Retreat playing in the larger wellness community, and how do you envision its growth in the future?

In the future, I see the Ethereal Retreat becoming a global hub for holistic wellness, where people from all over the world can come to heal, learn, and connect. My vision includes expanding the retreat model to other locations, creating a network of wellness spaces that operate on eco-conscious principles and offer support for individuals on their journeys to self-discovery and empowerment. Additionally, I see the retreat fostering partnerships with other wellness businesses and organizations, creating a community of like-minded individuals working together to uplift one another and share resources.

You’ve gone from a corporate law and finance career to creating a wellness empire. What advice do you have for others who might be thinking of making a career change but are unsure about taking the leap?

My advice would be to trust yourself and listen to your intuition. It’s natural to feel uncertain about making a big change, but I truly believe that our deepest purpose often lies outside our comfort zone. If you’re passionate about something, pursue it—even if it’s a huge departure from your past. It may not be an easy journey, but it will be a fulfilling one. Embrace the process of learning and growth, and know that every challenge you face along the way will make you stronger and more aligned with your true calling.

What do you hope people take away from their experience at the Ethereal Retreat?

I hope that when people visit the Ethereal Retreat, they leave feeling rejuvenated, inspired, and empowered. The retreat is not just a space for relaxation; it’s a place for transformation. I want people to reconnect with themselves, their bodies, and the earth. It’s also about creating a sense of community where individuals can share their experiences and support one another in their healing journeys. Above all, I want the retreat to remind people that they have the strength within themselves to overcome challenges and create positive change in their lives.

As the founder of the Ethereal Retreat, what are your long-term goals for the space and how do you see it evolving in the coming years?

My long-term goal for the Ethereal Retreat is to expand it into a global network of wellness spaces that support people’s mental, physical, and spiritual well-being. In the coming years, I envision the retreat growing, with more locations offering workshops, wellness programs, and educational opportunities. I also hope to see it become a model for sustainable wellness practices, showcasing how eco-conscious living and self-care can go hand in hand. Ultimately, I want the retreat to be a place that continuously evolves to meet the needs of the community and fosters a collective healing experience.

As someone who has experienced the transformative power of wellness retreats, how do you believe these experiences can inspire others to embark on their own healing journey? What advice or tips do you have for those looking to manage their mental health and practice mindfulness in their everyday lives?

Wellness retreats provide a unique opportunity to step away from the noise of daily life and reconnect with yourself in a deeply intentional way. These retreats often offer a space to slow down, reflect, and engage in practices like meditation, yoga, and holistic therapies, which can truly help reset your mental and emotional state. They create an environment that encourages self-care, introspection, and healing—something that’s often difficult to find in our fast-paced, busy lives.

My goal is to inspire others to recognize that healing doesn’t have to be an overwhelming or distant process—it can start right where you are, in small, intentional steps. If you're unable to attend a wellness retreat, there are still many ways you can integrate these practices into your life.

Top tips for managing mental health and practicing mindfulness:

  • Start your day with intention: Before you get into the hustle of the day, take a few minutes in the morning to set your intention. Reflect on how you want to feel and what you want to focus on. This simple practice can ground your mind and heart for the day ahead.

  • INcorporate mindful movement: Whether it’s yoga, a walk in nature, or a gentle stretch, find a way to move your body that feels nurturing. Movement can help release built-up stress and bring you back to the present moment.

  • Practice self-compassion: Be gentle with yourself. Life can be overwhelming, and mental health challenges are part of being human. Instead of criticizing yourself, approach difficult emotions with kindness and curiosity.

  • Create a mindful space at home: Dedicate a small area in your home for mindfulness practices—whether it’s for meditation, journaling, or simply sitting quietly. This space can become your sanctuary for healing and reflection.

  • Set boundaries: Protect your mental health by learning to say "no" when needed. Setting boundaries is a powerful way to create space for your own well-being, ensuring you're not overcommitting or draining your energy.

  • Stay present: Mindfulness is all about being present in each moment, no matter what you’re doing. Whether you’re eating, talking to a friend, or working, try to focus entirely on the task at hand, without multitasking or getting distracted.

Remember, healing and mindfulness aren’t about perfection—they’re about progress. Each small step toward self-awareness and balance makes a big difference in managing mental health and fostering inner peace.

You’ve built the Ethereal Retreat with your own hands, combining your personal vision with eco-conscious principles. What has this DIY journey taught you about yourself, and how do you hope it inspires others?

Building the Ethereal Retreat has been an incredibly humbling and rewarding experience. It has taught me the importance of patience, resilience, and trusting the process. It’s also deepened my commitment to sustainability and community. Doing the work myself, from the ground up, has shown me how powerful it is to align your actions with your values. I hope this journey inspires others to take action toward their own dreams, no matter how big or small, and to trust that with dedication, even the most ambitious projects are possible.

Sustainability is at the core of everything you do. Can you share some practical tips for individuals looking to live more eco-consciously in their everyday lives?

Sustainability doesn’t have to be overwhelming, and small changes can make a big difference. Some practical tips include reducing waste by choosing reusable items, buying locally grown food, and using eco-friendly products for cleaning and personal care. I also recommend being mindful of energy consumption—turning off lights when not in use, using natural lighting, and conserving water. In your wellness practice, consider using eco-friendly yoga mats and clothing made from sustainable materials. Sustainability is about making conscious choices that reflect care for the planet, and every small action contributes to the bigger picture.

Where do you see the Ethereal Retreat going in the future, and how do you envision expanding its impact on the wellness community?

In the future, I see the Ethereal Retreat growing into a global hub for wellness, healing, and sustainability. My vision is for it to become a place where individuals from all walks of life can come together to experience personal transformation and community empowerment. I hope to expand the retreat’s impact by offering more educational programs, creating partnerships with like-minded businesses, and eventually establishing additional retreats worldwide, all adhering to the principles of eco-conscious living and holistic health. My goal is to build a network of healing spaces that provide accessible resources, tools, and support for those on their wellness journeys, while also advocating for environmental sustainability. Ultimately, I want the Ethereal Retreat to inspire a worldwide movement of healing, mindfulness, and compassionate living.
