Hello, I'm Jade Bartholomew and I love business. Everything about it. Finance, sales, marketing especially. I run an SEO Agency in Essex, England as well as a digital marketing consultancy and have some property on Air BnB. I love sports, travelling and food (huge foodie!)

What is your business name and how do you help your clients?
My agency is called Sierra Six Media, and we help websites rank higher on Google. I love helping business owners grow their online business.
What kind of audience do you target your business towards?
We work with businesses who typically turn over £1million – they tend to have enough members of staff for us to liaise with efficiently and have good online growth plans. What are your current goals for your business?
We'd love to start a digital academy to encourage more young people to venture into the realm of 'search marketing'. We're also exploring becoming one of the first agencies to adopt voice search optimisation and AI, as well as taking crypto-currency as payment.
What would you like to achieve for yourself and your business in the future?
I'd like to personally provide a safe space for young women to forge their careers and to become the best versions of themselves. I'd also love to create a Sierra Six network – a place where existing clients can share ideas, setbacks and solutions – our client base and everyone at Sierra Six share a similar entrepreneurial mindset so I feel this would add a lot of wider value than the marketing itself.
Who inspires you to be the best that you can be?
Caroline from Brainz Magazine of course! Also, my younger sister and my team members – they remind me to lead from the front, to set a good example, always do the right thing and be absolutely relentless in pursuit of my goals.
If you could change one thing about your industry, what would it be and why?
I would implement qualifications and certifications. You see, the thing with digital marketing is that there really are no entry barriers. Technically, anyone with a laptop can build a website and create an agency – it's great in one way because it's a viable route to take for those willing to work, but also very harmful to the industry by lots of one man bands with low-knowledge, signing up clients and doing poor work. The majority of our customers have been burned in the past, so we have to put a lot of focus on customer service and reassurance as well as curating hours to carry out campaigns. It would be useful for every agency to have, at the very least, basic operating and performance standards.
