In both my personal life and my professional experience, I’ve seen, felt, and experienced how trauma is stored and manifests in the body.
The physical and energetic blockages of stored trauma cause a loss of connection between your spirit and body. The symptoms of stored trauma are often so accepted as a part of everyday life that we overlook them entirely or accept that we’ll never again experience the fullness of life we so dearly miss.
If you’re struggling with a loss of libido, fatigue, a feeling of numbness and disconnection, anxiety, or even a resistance to touch, you might find that the root cause is trauma stored within your body.
Despite the emptiness and hopelessness you might feel, this stored trauma isn’t something you have to live with. Trauma can be released, invisible wounds can be healed, and connections can be restored!
The body remembers
You’re not alone. Thousands of people have felt exactly as you do now, including me.
I spent four years searching for answers, studying, releasing my traumas, and healing my soul. I learned that many others had followed the same path, exploring how invisible trauma can be stored within the physical body.
A group of scientists, therapists, and their courageous patients even wrote a book about their incredible discoveries and journey to healing. It’s an entertaining and insightful read that beautifully explains the storage of trauma in the body. You can find out more about it here.
Through reading books and articles and talking to professionals and others affected by trauma, I came to understand how our physical body reacts to trauma, how it’s linked with our spiritual existence, and how energy is the heart of healing.
I discovered the ancient power of Tantra.
As a Tantra masseuse, I’ve helped hundreds of people discover their path to healing and guided them toward a reimagined life filled with light.
Original, ancient Tantra is an art held for centuries in sacred Buddhist and Hindu texts. It’s a holistic balance between body, soul, energy and emotions that I immediately felt drawn to and am incredibly grateful to have learned.
So, if you don’t feel quite whole and are unsure why or are struggling with stress, anxiety or self-esteem… If you’re just now realising that the physical symptoms you’re experiencing aren’t “just life”, join me as we begin a journey of reconciliation, realignment, and healing!
Tips for effective healing
Embrace the journey
To truly experience the power of Tantra and embrace its love, acceptance, and connection, you must also embrace the sometimes overwhelming release of emotions. Just as there are several stages to overcoming grief, there are five stages to releasing trauma you must embrace.
Allow yourself to be vulnerable and open, feeling these emotions in their entirety without restraint. Only when we embrace the journey to healing can we begin to see our destination.
Connect with nature
Removing modern distractions and embracing the quiet moments found in nature allow us to experience a true full-body awareness. Whether it’s a mindful morning walk with your pet, meditating to the gentle rhythm of a flowing stream, or simply feeling the support of the earth as you relax in your garden, nature's rhythmic and calming energy encourages connection and helps to reset the balance in our lives.
Acknowledge the fear
Embarking on any new journey can be daunting, but embracing a deeply spiritual journey that requires a bare and often unexpected honesty within yourself can feel impossible. Often, the most rewarding journeys are those with difficult roads.
By embracing this process and acknowledging your fear without allowing it to control you, you’ll discover an inner confidence and power, allowing you to be open to change and rediscover your potential.
Taking the first step on your journey
Mindfulness and gratitude practice
You can easily integrate this simple practice into your daily life, allowing you to shift your perspective to one more open and embracing of your true potential. I often encourage people to keep gratitude and mindfulness journals, but if that’s not your thing and you’d prefer to recognise them internally, that’s perfectly ok!
Each day, take time to appreciate the physical sensations you experience, whether the warmth of your morning shower or the freshness of a cold glass of water. Be in the moment, feel your emotions, and reflect on how those sensations make you feel.
It can also be beneficial to reflect on the things in life for which you are grateful. These don’t have to be huge milestones or events. It could be as simple as being grateful for a message from a friend or the comfort of a warm cup of tea.
Meditation and connection practice
Meditation and connection are the next steps up from mindfulness and gratitude. Here, you’re dedicating yourself to your journey and reconnecting with your body.
Meditation can be as simple as taking time in a quiet space to be mindful of your body, breathing, and connection to the earth. Notice how this quiet contemplation and bodily awareness makes you feel.
Do you notice any blockages? These may be areas of trauma that need releasing. Acknowledging these blockages is the first step to overcoming them.
Deep heart-yoni meditation
This meditation practice embraces the rhythmic flow of energies to realign and release trauma within the body. It is a deeply personal practice that can be done alone or under the guidance of a qualified Tantric massage therapist like me.
Continue your journey
To help guide you through heart-yoni meditation and other techniques, I have created a special guide: “Renew Your Spirit, Revitalise Your Body And Soul With The Transformative Power Of Tantra”, which you can find for free here!
I encourage you to embrace this journey and remember that the path to healing is not linear. You will have days of ups and downs, but your journey is unique to you, and as long as you continue to move forward, you will reach your destination.
With love and light,
Esther
