One of the biggest challenges people face is creating and maintaining a vision of the future they desire. We are indoctrinated into our societies and give false ideas of who we are and just how capable we are. The fact is that humans are way more talented than we know. No one, not even the most knowledgeable scientists, can tell anyone what they are capable of. Our beliefs were given to us as we grew. Those beliefs cause us to be minions from the belief that we are only so smart or capable of living from paycheque to paycheque. That we cannot possibly do more than what we are doing. Many people believe that their wants and desires are only pipe dreams and can only be had if they win a lot of money through a stroke of luck. This personal view invades our businesses too.

Many business operators work under the idea that there’s only so much work available, or only so many available clients, and that we can only do so much work before we burn out. The biggest problem is that people who think like this lack a vision of the future and don’t have enough faith to believe they are worthy of all they want and capable of achieving it all.

A vision is of the utmost importance. Without one, we are subject to doing whatever comes along next, and that just isn’t moving forward. Many business operators are so focused on the bottom line that the figures on the spreadsheet occlude their vision of the future. Taking time to envision the future you want for yourself and your business is the best way to spend your time. With a vision, both personal and professional, anything can be accomplished. It’s a matter of mindset.

Having a vision, writing it down, sharing it with the people you trust, creating a plan and taking action are the simple steps required to have anything you want. If it’s so simple, why aren’t people doing it? Mindset. What do you believe about yourself? What do you believe about your business? What do you believe about the people around you? If you can answer those questions you’re well on your way to making the changes that will make you a multi-millionaire or whatever it is you want to be.

Having a future vision of where you want to be and looking forward instead of at the bottom line will give you a direction to apply your time and energy toward. Sharing the vision with the people around you will co-create exactly what you desire—moving forward instead of stagnating or moving backward. Forward. Always FORWARD!

Creating a new mindset will be some of the most difficult and challenging work you will ever face. Yet it will also be the most rewarding and FUN work you’ll ever experience.
