What is it that you do for your clients?

I help people in recovery learn to rewire their brains so they can change their story, and enhance their recovery even further.

What I realized in my sixth year of recovery, was that everything I had been through as a result of my addiction would become the key to discovering my purpose. Like many people who have suffered from an addiction of any sort, I was ashamed of my past and had always assumed it would follow me around in a negative way because of the stigma associated with addiction.

Throughout my recovery, I have watched many people relapse as a result of getting complacent and discontinuing the work that got and kept them sober in the first place. In many cases, the result was a loss of life. As sad as this is, it also serves as a reminder of what can happen when we think that we have this disease licked.

My desire to help others enhance their recovery so that they can limit the chances of a relapse came from my own experience with complacency. I felt as though I was settling for a life I wasn’t truly fulfilled by. I kept thinking to myself that there has to be a reason I survived my life of addiction.

I am a student of what I teach, and as a result of discovering my purpose, I have come to realize that my past and the experiences I had been through was the key to finding success. I truly believe that following this path has enhanced my recovery and provided me with a stronger foundation. Now I want to show others how to do the same.

Who should hire/work with you?

I work with those who are in a state of recovery and want more out of life. Those who feel as though they are settling for a life that doesn’t leave them joyous and fulfilled. If you are ready to discover your purpose, overcome your limiting beliefs and change your mindset I would love to hear from you.

What is your big goal? Where do you see yourself 10 years from now?

My vision is to help reduce the chances of relapse for those who want to embark on the journey of recovery.

My big plan is to develop and grow the Rise Beyond Recovery community. This will be made up of people in recovery who help support each other in rising beyond their recovery. I plan to run yearly summits where speakers share their journey of moving through addiction and into recovery and beyond. I am going to create a movement. Join me.
