Can you tell us more about your personal journey and how it has influenced your approach to therapy and the services you offer at Men’s Mindset Mastery?
As a child, I experienced lots of trauma and never was able to be my authentic self. Soon food became my best friend and by the age of 5 I was overweight. I felt ashamed about my looks so I hid even more and my confidence was buried at a very early age.
Then, I got crippled by Depression from the age of 12, then shortly, severe Anxiety followed because of the shame, guilt and trauma I was feeling inside. When the pain became too much (quite quickly) to handle I needed to numb it and I turned to different substances to run away from reality and with that held onto several self-destructive behaviours for over 25 years.
When I hit rock bottom I decided to make changes in my life and wanted to see myself in a better place.
In the midst of this journey a loving man came into my life. He encouraged me to love myself and helped me gain back my confidence and belief in me. 6 months after our engagement, he passed away.
I had a calling to pass on everything I learnt from him so I can help others the way he helped me elevate myself.
I also realized that life can be short and I didn’t want to carry on living an inauthentic life. I always had an interest in self-development, mental wellbeing and helping others. I decided it was time to fully discover my true passion and skills and embrace them.
The channel I found was to become a therapist and dedicate my practice to my late fiance. And today I work with Men exclusively for 3 reasons:
1. I grew up with a father whose unhealthy behaviour broke me down.
2. I was rebuilt with the help of a man, my late finance.
3. I believe every son and daughter deserve a mentally, emotionally and physically healthy father.
Your website mentions that you have a background in complementary therapies. Can you discuss how your experience in these modalities informs your current practice and enhances your ability to support clients?
That’s right. I'm also certified in Neuro Linguistic Programming, Transformation Life Coaching and Rational Emotive Behavioural therapy. These modalities help me give an even more personalized and effective experience in my client’s transformational journey.
They allow me to offer therapy ( mindset change ) and coaching (behavioural change ) at the same time so my clients can be fully ready to navigate in their new lives. This is important because permanent transformation happens only when the subconscious mind gets rewired first.
My clients not only renew their mindset (think better thoughts permanently ) but also get practical tips on how they can train their mind to their advantage to achieve their personal and professional goals.
As the founder of Men’s Mindset Mastery, what motivated you to start your own therapy practice and what sets it apart from other therapy practices in the field?
My motivation comes from 3 things:
The first is to open up the possibility to men to become a better version of themselves. Mindset change is available to everyone as the mind works by the same rules for everybody.
The second is to highlight how much a man's mental and emotional wellbeing can affect themselves and others around them.
The third is basically my own transformational story to give inspiration and motivation to others.
I must say that during my therapy studies my life turned upside down in less than 2 years. I discovered my true self - a person who is passionate about helping others and has the right skills to be a therapist.
I also ditched the 25yrs+ anxiety, depression and addictions. I experienced massive changes in myself that I never thought would ever be possible.
This is why I help my clients with the same issues that I myself overcame and never have gone back to any of them since.
I’m aware of my clients’ struggles and my aim is to show them that permanent transformation is achievable.
My motto I use a lot is ‘I could do it, anybody can do it too, including men’.
What kind of audience do you target your business towards?
I work exclusively with Men. I focus on Businessmen, Entrepreneurs and High Achievers. I help them release Anxiety, Stress and Low-Performance Habits by building a high-performance mindset so they can regain their Focus, Productivity and Confidence.
Your website mentions that you have a passion for helping clients achieve lasting transformation. Can you elaborate on how you work with clients to achieve meaningful and sustainable changes in their lives?
Yes, I believe in services that produce permanent results. This is why I chose Rapid Transformation Therapy to be my main tool to help my clients. This is a unique and extremely effective method because it treats the root cause of Anxiety, Stress, Low-performance habits, in my case.
The first step is to understand that the root cause lies in the subconscious mind. My clients get to reveal it, understand the emotional attachment to it and reframe the experience. This way, clearing the mind becomes easier and more powerful.
The second step is creating sustainable change by rewiring one’s mindset. I use a personalized transformational recording for my clients that is based on the rules of the mind and includes visualization, power of the words, repetition and neurolinguistic programming.
You know, once we start to engage with different thoughts than we’ve been used to, and practice it long enough, we will never go back to the way we were before. The mind keeps expanding as it accepts new thoughts and concepts.
We can present the mind with unlimited new concepts, can’t we? This is what essentially allows permanent change to happen.
Your website also mentions that you believe therapy is a collaborative process between the therapist and the client. Can you discuss how you foster a collaborative therapeutic relationship with your clients and the benefits of this approach?
Of course. When I’m working with a client, we are a team aiming for the same outcome. We work together to understand what has led my client to their current challenges.
I guide my clients through the session and make them understand their way of thinking and belief systems that have been hidden in their subconscious mind but affecting them deeply on the surface.
You know, every client’s experience is unique and we embrace that during the transformational journey. The personalized transformational recording is a very good example of that.
What is your work inspired by?
My inspiration primarily comes from my late fiance and my own experiences. My fiance proved that having the right mindset is possible no matter what circumstances you live in.
My experiences showed me that having a mentally, emotionally and physically healthy man in the household is crucial.
If you could change one thing about your industry, what would it be and why?
Well, I’m on a mission to change the myth around men’s mental wellbeing and encourage them to seek help instead of bottling up.
I believe that mental wellbeing is genderless and men should feel accepted and supported when they’re in need of help.
An effective therapy method is life changing and Men deserve to live a mentally, emotionally and physically healthy life too.
