On September 14, the distinguished nonprofit organization No Girl Left Behind Empowerment Event Ltd. hosted an impactful event for women and girls at the Delta Hotels by Marriott Toronto Airport & Conference Centre in Toronto. No Girl Left Behind Empowerment Event is dedicated to providing unique experiences for women and young girls (ages 9+), equipping them with essential knowledge, tools, and skills to build confidence, resilience, and a strong sense of empowerment.
This year’s event, themed around relationships, followed stops in Grande Prairie and Edmonton and offered attendees hands-on activities, workshops, and discussions focused on breaking out of toxic cycles, enhancing communication skills, and encouraging women to use their voices confidently.
In 2024, Marissa Cherepanov joined the organization as the visionary CEO, guiding the mission toward an expanded national footprint. With her leadership, the organization plans to expand its events into additional cities across Canada in 2025, reaching even more communities and empowering a larger network of women and girls.
“It’s no secret that women and young girls face increasing pressures," says Kiki Rozema, founder of No Girl Left Behind Empowerment Event. "Our mission is to teach women and girls tools to navigate society’s expectations by connecting mind and body. We want every participant to leave feeling empowered from within.” Alethea Crimmins, a presenter at the event, adds, “This experience was life-changing. Seeing mothers and daughters connect in ways unimaginable was incredibly moving."
