Introduce yourself! Please tell us about you and your life, so we can get to know you better.
I’m a teacher through and through. I literally started off as an elementary school teacher, and thirty-two years later I’m still teaching – only now it’s with business leaders on a global stage. I love to learn, read voraciously, and get energized from a thought-provoking conversation. As a foodie, I cherish a good dinner-party filled with truly fine food, fine wine, and even finer friends & fellowship.

We teach leaders how to use their voices confidently and effectively. Communication is crucial to business and life success, and we help individuals advance their careers, relationships and lives – one conversation at a time. Whether it’s closing a multi-million dollar deal, healing a broken relationship or building trust on an executive team, we believe that when you know how to navigate these critical conversations you become unstoppable. Through our Keynotes and training programs we teach business leaders around the globe how to communicate to connect.

What are your current goals for your business?
We’re focused on impact. At She Gets It, our goal is to reach 1 million women leaders around the globe through our LIVE, online leadership programs, FOUNDATIONS and NEXT LEVEL.
What would you like to achieve for yourself and your business in the future?
When a leader shares that they felt heard & understood for the first time, or that they were able to salvage a Client relationship, or how they connected with their teenager in a way they hadn’t in a very long time, it expands my heart and validates the mission. We can all easily take a course on public speaking or learn how to create a beautiful slide deck, but it’s harder to find that sacred container where someone will teach you how to deftly and effectively communicate to connect so you can advance a relationship better than ever.
Who inspires you to be the best that you can be?
My parents. I’m blessed to be born to two super smart, super kind, progressive-thinking individuals who parented with love and firm boundaries.
What is your work inspired by?
Two things. First, not being a confident communicator for so many years. Your greatest pain and your greatest gift often reside in the same space. When I was younger I was constantly tripping over words, feeling awkward, saying something I’d later regret or staying silent because I was cluefree on what to say. Over the years, I developed a long list of Magical phrases – little back pocket brilliant one liners for reducing tension, resolving conflict, sharing sensitive emotions, unpacking difficult situations, and more. These phrases were created mainly because it was only AFTER the initial awkward conversation that I figured out the better response. The more confident I became as a communicator the more I felt the intrinsic desire to share these phrases, frameworks and tools. I wanted this confidence for everyone, and now I’m irreverently known as the Queen of Magical phrases. Second, my clients inspire me every day. Hallmarky but true! When someone shares with me how a conversation or series of conversations using the tools and Magical phrases we teach course corrected their marriage or their business partnership, or helped them forgive themselves, or gave them “permission” to pursue their passion, or turned their entire company around, I literally get lifeforce-fueled by their wins.
Tell us about a pivotal moment in your life that brought you to where you are today.
A seminal moment in my life was early in the pandemic when I started to read reports about mental health declining. So many people were feeling disconnected and isolated. And they weren’t just disconnected from others, they were sharing how disconnected they were from themselves too. That’s when I launched She Gets It. These programs offer tangible, practical tools to help people connect with others and themselves. What started off as a passion project turned into a global leadership development initiative.
What philosophy do you live by?
Life happens one conversation at a time. When you realize that the life you desire is on the other side of a tough conversation, you’ll take a beat so you can successfully navigate this conversation and create the profitable life you seek. Profitability isn’t just dollars, it can be time, energy, a healed relationship, a boundary established, jobs created, an exemplary experience, and yes, true transformation – internally & externally. I truly believe that when we show up with the intention of communicating to connect we create magic in our lives.
