Katarzyna Dorosz, Business coach, lecturer, researcher longevity and brain memory
Recognized as a leader in business training with the Japanese Kaizen approach, can this method be beneficial during a crisis?
Indeed, that's my specialty. I assist organizations in enhancing their work processes through a continuous improvement philosophy that emphasizes lifestyle changes and boosts the company's quality. I view a global crisis as a chance for growth. Working with company management, we devise contingency plans for crises. After all, every successful company has a backup plan.
What are prevalent errors in company management?
Common errors seen globally are the absence of a clear, long-term plan and strategy, leaving the company unprepared for success. Often, the management department holds conflicting views on goal implementation, activities, and resource distribution.
Remember the adage, "A fish rots from the head," indicating that collapse is due to poor management. Hence, management teams should engage in systematic training to enhance team coordination, work under pressure, and sharpen critical thinking skills.
Adopting new management forms should be an organic and prompt transition since outdated methods are responsible for present challenges. Introducing a well-organized new strategy system will build trust among employees. A clear, open environment makes it easier for CEOs to manage, and my hope is for every CEO, manager, and employee to embrace a team that welcomes new challenges.
Could you tell us about your latest training initiative, "A healthy employee is a happy employee," and its benefits?
This initiative is tailored for companies that value the health and efficiency of their staff.
Our training is collaborative, created with employers and tailored to organizational and group needs. It encompasses practical management aspects, strategic, and personal development skills, utilizing various educational techniques.
Benefits include enhanced employee relations, positively influencing work ethics and the company atmosphere. It fosters greater appreciation for tasks and organizational objectives. By promoting health and reducing stress, we help improve employee well-being, counter workplace anxiety and depression. Employees feel valued and respected, boosting their motivation and consequently, productivity.
As a respected motivational speaker, how do you define motivation?
Motivation is the drive that energizes individuals to exert effort for a task. It's a readiness to act. It's crucial to distinguish between motivation and determination: motivation is about wanting to act, while determination is about acting regardless of desire. In my trainings, I impart knowledge on productive work models and how to practically implement them.
Take Thomas Edison's quest to invent the light bulb, with over 10,000 failed experiments. Despite repeated failures, he persevered. Asked about his unrelenting belief, he famously said he hadn't failed; he had simply ruled out thousands of unsuitable materials.
Achievers across various domains share a success mindset and determination, the latter being the resolve to decide and fully commit to a goal, ready to sacrifice as needed.
