Should you invest in a spiritual coach? Wait, what is a flipping spiritual coach. People always say that you will invest and save for the things you really want. It’s always materialistic possessions or going to school. If you can invest in yourself as far as school (way more than working with most spiritual coaches), why when the price is above $1500 USD, it's an automatic no?

Just as you would invest in an accountant, a lawyer, or a doctor, you should invest in a spiritual coach. What matters most is not just the information you receive, but the depth of the knowledge and the experience that your spiritual mentor has. One of the most beautiful things about our world is the fact that we are all connected. This is especially true for our spiritual world. If you are experiencing a spiritual awakening, online videos and online spiritual influencers will only aid in your growth and ascension so much. A spiritual mentor, guru, teacher, a mystic can teach you techniques, give knowledge, and guide you on a much deeper level than you see online. In other words, you can connect on a soul level to your spiritual mentor and allow them to lead you in a direction that will ensure your success and spiritual growth.

Let’s answer some questions around what a spiritual coach is and is it a cover for other spiritual attributes. The stigmas in society make us identify as something to appear to the masses, because if someone said any of the names that are to be mentioned, many people wouldn’t sign up or take their advice upon first meeting. Could a spiritual leader be a psychic, because they know so much about the universe and the entities we cannot see?

If a spiritual coach and psychic were two people, a spiritual coach would be a person who is stable, wise, wholistic, grounded and a person who has gone deep within for answers and has shared the wisdom and guidance he has gained from going inside and from life across many people. A spiritual coach brings you from where you are to where you want to be. A psychic is an intuitive who expresses information and insight regarding your life, using various tools including tarot cards, astrology, numerology, palmistry, psychometry, I-Ching and so on, who usually pick up information from the external world and channel it to you. I do have a strong belief one can be both, but then what would that individual be called?

I want to clear the air around the word’s guru and mystic. They exist in this world and yet, people discredit what they can offer. Within the invisible hierarchy of spiritual leaders present in this physical realm today, a mystic is seen as evil, pagan, false, and a true guru is deemed a fraud, scammer, and discredited unless you are of celebrity/influencer status. Why is that so? Let’s explore what they are. Again, a spiritual coach that’s real and authentic may wear the label spiritual coach but underneath be either a guru, teacher, mystic, psychic or he/she could simply be a teacher (spiritual LIFE coach).

A mystic is a person who has achieved a high level of realization, often of the divine, spiritual, or mystical nature. That is someone who has realized the divine and the secrets of the universe, but who can not necessarily teach anyone else how they reached that realization. It is personally achieving union with the most high (Elohim). The mystic is also psychologically driven to solve the problems of people. If a mystic encounter suffering, he or she will help and deliver this suffering person from his suffering. The mystic sees all human beings as part of him or herself. He or she does not distinguish between persons. He or she desires the same liberation for others that he or she enjoyed for himself. A mystic is one who forms a connection with the divine, not through wisdom, but through being connected.

A guru is a person who has attained a high level of realization, and who can teach others the path or different techniques that allowed the guru to attain that high level of realization. “Guru”, the name that is literally translated as “heavy” in Sanskrit, is one of the most misunderstood and misused words in a spiritual context. In many instances, this term is used to describe a “master” who supposedly has all the answers. Beyond religious or philosophical contexts, this word is also used to describe a master electrician, a master mechanic, or even one’s boss! This is simply incorrect. “Guru” is a term from India where it meant and is still used to refer to a Self-realized master. Gurus are individuals who lead through kindness and wisdom.

What is a spiritual coach exactly? There is not a definite word, phrase, or true Webster dictionary definition. It all boils down to this, the more spiritual knowledge and wisdom you acquire, the easier it will be to recognize your own faults. Having more knowledge will make you more critical of your own shortcomings and things that you genuinely need to change about yourself for the better. There are many great spiritual teachers, coaches, mystics, and gurus out there who will help you make the necessary changes in your life to advance on the path of spiritual enlightenment. As your spiritual journey continues, you will find yourself being able to control your own thoughts and actions in a much better way. This is because the higher the level of spirituality that you reach, the more control you gain over emotions, spending, and all the other things that trouble us in this physical form.
