Welcome to an exclusive interview with Shelley DiAngelo, the visionary nurse and entrepreneur behind Mile-Hydrate Mobile IV Therapy and Wellness. In a world where traditional healthcare often falls short of meeting individuals' evolving needs, Shelley has carved a pioneering path, offering cutting-edge healthcare options that transcend the limitations of conventional approaches. But this isn't just a business; it's a personal journey born out of Shelley’s extensive experience working in hospitals, travel nursing, and ambulatory care departments.
Shelley started her nursing career in San Diego and eventually became a travel nurse. She found inspiration on a journey that led to the scenic mountains of Colorado, where serendipity played a role in creating her family. She met and married her wife and knew it was fate when they made the decision to adopt Gina’s baby grandson out of foster care to give him a connection to family. She imparts her knowledge of health to them, and together they are creating a life of longevity and vitality.
Shelley is on a mission to revolutionize healthcare with Mile-Hydrate - a mobile sanctuary of wellness. In the face of a medical insurance model that often neglects evidence-based alternative healthcare, she has created a portal that opens doors to a new era of customized and personalized well-being.

Shelley DiAngelo, Mile-Hydrate Mobile IV Therapy and Wellness
So glad to have you writing insightful articles for BRAINZ. Can you elaborate on how your work as a nurse led to starting your own medical business and why Mile-Hydrate is so unique?
Thank you so much for this opportunity to help others understand their non-traditional healthcare options! With the necessary legalities and state compliance regulations in place, registered nurses can now own their own medical businesses, and I seized this chance. Drawing on years of my own holistic health interventions and an allopathic medicine education, I've empowered clients to achieve overall well-being and happiness through natural options to help support a vibrant life. I live in a suburb of the Mile High city of Denver, thus the fun play on the name Mile-Hydrate. I am a minority woman and LGBTQ-owned business and certified as a diverse supplier for corporate contracts. This creates a unique perspective that sets my business apart from my competition, while serving diverse clients in all walks of life through virtual channels, in their homes, offices, poolside, and even in a business conference room.
My unique position in the market stems from the exceptional value my nursing background supplies and who I am at my spiritual core. Unlike businesses offering one-time, commodity-type services, I invest concentrated time with individuals, delving into their health goals and tailoring wellness techniques to meet their specific needs. And though Mile-Hydrate is an inclusive business, my identity as a lesbian business owner, helps distinguish my care model to a more-often disenfranchised population. Moreover, I collaborate with other LGBTQ-ally holistic practitioners, forming partnerships that complement my skills. This collaborative effort ensures a comprehensive, whole-being approach to healthcare options, delivering high-value, transformative offerings customized to individual and corporate wellness budgets.
What is IV therapy and why should we consider it as a choice to keep us healthy?
This is a common question. IV therapy, often known as "IV hydration," takes a step further than just replenishing fluids, say for instance after a night of too much alcohol. Yes, dehydration is a ubiquitous problem, especially here in the Rocky Mountains. But as we age, we also succumb to many dangerous environmental conditions, such as heavy metals and pesticides in our farming soils, air and noise pollution, and constant high stress levels. And while our bodies require optimal nutritional support to function, oral supplements fall short with only about 30% absorption and our food supplies have become subpar at best. Couple this with years of habitually poor lifestyle choices and now we have accumulated internal toxicity and damaged organs and cells. With IV therapy, I provide tailor-made nutraceuticals for a range of health conditions with a direct effect on a balanced health state. This method boasts nearly 100% nutrient absorption directly into cells, offering a level of healing that surpasses the capabilities of medications, food, and supplements.
Can you shed light on the diversity of your clientele?
Ideal for high achievers aiming to age well and lead long, healthy lives, my services cater to both community members and corporate leaders alike. On the corporate front, I organize on-location IV clinics and weight loss workshops to combat absenteeism, reduce healthcare premiums, and foster higher employee engagement.
The beauty lies in the variety of needs – whether it's collaborating with a gym owner on a post-treatment breast cancer program, partnering with local social clubs and businesses to foster a collective healthier community and workforce, or offering a “reduce the stress” process for brides-to-be, my goal is to bring cutting-edge solutions to our diverse populace. One day I could be running IVs in a law office, or coaching overweight young moms to lose weight easily, or administering anti-wrinkle injections to drag queens for their onstage performances. It’s a creative healthcare delivery system for different needs!
What other wellness solutions are available for your clients?
Given my extensive background in addressing obesity and type 2 diabetes, a significant focus is on helping individuals in overcoming weight challenges that lead to chronic illness. We all know diets are not sustainable because you stay “hangry” and those cravings for the wrong foods are horrible! I teach a life-changing weight loss process that enhances strength and energy, ameliorates mood, and improves metabolic health. And if you have type 2 diabetes, let’s try to reverse it!
Recognizing the drawbacks of traditional diets, I educate clients on manipulating the hormones influencing hunger and cravings through strategic dietary choices. My approach revolves around three key pillars for busy lives: flexibility, simplicity, and sustainability, ensuring the adoption of sustainable lifestyle habits.
I also customize the weight loss journey to include other alternative modalities that make weight loss easier to release, while also detoxifying the body, calming the central nervous system, and allowing the body and mind to find its equilibrium again. Now, you have an innovative, “age-younger” plan of care.
Are there any health issues you don’t address?
Not really. However, I don’t manage severe chronic health issues in need of ongoing western medical interventions. This means that for the most part, Mile-Hydrate supports those who have essentially lived a healthy lifestyle and engage in alternative treatments that integrate with their western medical treatments. So, from a comprehensive approach, my services support one’s overall health.
With the help of my medical director and pharmacist, we collaborate on meeting your needs, if we can. A brief 15-minute clarity call allows me to quickly assess a fit to match goals of care. From there, we delve deeper into those goals, crafting a customized plan tailored to health, weight, and desired results. Through a meticulous 6-point weight assessment, a thorough review of your medical history, and consideration of my various holistic interventions, I help in unlocking trapped fat, soothing your nerves, cleansing the gut, and clearing your brain fog. Take, for instance, a 44-year-old client, a devoted mother concerned about her healthy future with newborn twins. Despite a hectic and exhausting life, in just 8 weeks, she shed 15 pounds, no longer had intestinal bloating, and found renewed energy, paving the way for ongoing empowered dietary decisions.
Who have been your biggest supporters in the world of entrepreneurism?
My wife is my biggest supporter. She cheers my efforts on because she knows my passion and mission for helping people with their health. Without her support, I couldn't undertake this entrepreneurial journey because we must manage our full-time jobs, raise our special needs child, and sustain a successful business. This all requires a strong, transparent partnership. She is my rock and behind-the-scenes wizard.
In the business realm, I’ve hired many coaches that have had my best interest at heart. Melanie Roach of Cara Business Solutions, is a wealth of knowledge in the online space and gives me the hard truths about the difficult entrepreneurial road. She helps me (and all her other clients) create systems and automated processes that run the back end of their business, while coaching business owners through the stages of launching a product and growing and scaling their business. She’s also become a true friend of our family.
My twin sister, Dr. Sheryl Strom, is both a registered nurse and a doctor of natural medicine and bioenergy. She specializes in bioenergy modalities, detoxing from addictions, and releasing energetic blocks impeding robust health. We think alike and both strive to help people understand that they have so many options for healthcare, which does not always include taking more medications. We regularly consult with each other to achieve the best outcomes for our clients.
And lastly, my community of like-minded nurses and alternative health practitioners is an endless bucket of knowledge and encouragement with whom I also collaborate.
Any last words you’d like to share?
I believe in the Universal Law of Reciprocity whereby your altruistic intentions with and for others, bring about a return of the same to you in the proportion in which you intentionally give. Make people feel good in heart and mind and you will always live a life of abundance.
