Introduce yourself! Please tell us about you and your life so we can get to know you better.
I’m Meera Jhogasundram, a passionate advocate for healing, personal transformation, career excellence, and holistic well-being. My journey has been shaped by a deep curiosity about human potential and a desire to help others lead more empowered and fulfilling lives. I’m not just a Certified Coach; I’m also a lifelong learner, a nature enthusiast, and someone who finds joy in the simple things, whether it’s spending time with loved ones, exploring the arts, or connecting with people on a deeper level. My husband and my three Maltese dogs hold a special place in my heart, grounding me and keeping me inspired every single day.
What inspired you to start your journey in healing and personal transformation?
My journey began with a personal quest for clarity and balance during a challenging phase of my life. Experiencing firsthand the profound impact of healing and self-discovery, I became inspired to share these tools and insights with others. Witnessing the incredible resilience and growth in people when they are supported and understood has been my greatest motivation.
How would you describe your unique approach to guiding clients?
My approach is deeply personalized and integrative. I combine evidence-based techniques with intuitive guidance to create a safe and supportive space for my clients. It’s about meeting each individual where they are and helping them uncover their own strength and wisdom. I blend modern methodologies with timeless practices, allowing clients to experience both immediate relief and sustainable growth.
What kind of breakthroughs do your clients typically experience?
Clients often experience breakthroughs in areas where they once felt stuck, whether it’s resolving old patterns, finding clarity in relationships, or reigniting a sense of purpose. Many of them discover not just healing but also a renewed confidence in their ability to shape their own careers and lives. It's always rewarding to see someone leave a session feeling lighter, freer, and more aligned with their true selves.
Can you share a personal story that shaped your work today?
One pivotal moment was when I supported a close friend through a deeply transformative phase in his life. The gratitude and lightness he felt after working together solidified my belief in the power of this work. It taught me that healing is not just about fixing what’s broken, but also about embracing and celebrating one’s journey.
What’s one myth about healing work you’d like to debunk?
A common myth is that healing means erasing pain or struggle. In reality, healing is about integrating those experiences into your life story in a way that empowers you. It’s not about perfection, but about progress and authenticity.
What do you hope visitors take away from your website and offerings?
I hope visitors find a sense of hope, connection, and possibility. My goal is to offer not just services but also inspiration, a sense that they are not alone and that their journey toward healing and transformation is both valid and achievable.
Tell us about your most significant career achievement so far.
One of my proudest moments was receiving heartfelt messages from clients who expressed how our work together had a lasting impact on their lives. Knowing that I’ve been able to make a meaningful difference is the ultimate achievement for me.
If you could change one thing about your industry, what would it be and why?
I would like to see more emphasis on accessibility and inclusivity within the healing and personal transformation space. Healing should not feel like a luxury but a right, accessible to everyone, regardless of their background or circumstances.
Tell us about a pivotal moment in your life that brought you to where you are today.
A turning point for me was when I realized that my own struggles were not obstacles but stepping stones. This shift in perspective allowed me to channel my experiences into my work, creating a bridge of empathy and understanding for my clients.
Who inspired you most in your journey, and what did they teach you?
During my journey, I had the privilege of working closely with an esteemed mentor in the field of holistic healing. Their guidance not only helped me refine my skills but also inspired me to approach each client with empathy and curiosity. I vividly remember a particular lesson they shared: "Healing begins when you meet people where they are, without judgment." This principle has become a cornerstone of my practice.
Have you impacted any communities or groups through your work?
One of the most rewarding experiences was hosting a workshop for a local community struggling with stress and burnout. Through guided exercises and open conversations, attendees rediscovered their resilience and left feeling supported and reenergized. This event underscored the importance of creating spaces where people can heal collectively.
Was there a pivotal crossroads moment in your life that shaped your path?
Years ago, I found myself at a crossroads, torn between continuing in a stable governmental career and pursuing my passion for healing. After much introspection, I chose the latter, despite the uncertainty. The leap of faith was challenging, but it brought immense fulfilment, knowing I could make a tangible difference in people’s lives.
How have creativity and artistic outlets influenced your work?
A client once shared their love for painting but had abandoned the hobby due to self-doubt. Through our sessions, he rekindled this passion, using art as a medium to process emotions and express his journey. Witnessing this transformation solidified my belief in the healing power of creativity.
Can you recall an encounter that shaped how you approach clients?
I’ll never forget the story of a client who approached me, sceptical about the effectiveness of healing work. Over time, her openness grew, and she experienced profound shifts. Her journey taught me patience and the importance of meeting clients with both compassion and understanding.
Did spirituality play a role in influencing your healing philosophy?
Early in my career, I attended a meditation retreat that profoundly changed my perspective on healing. The retreat emphasized the interconnectedness of mind, body, and spirit, inspiring me to incorporate this holistic view into my practice. It was a transformative experience that shaped my approach to helping others.
Have you ever doubted your path, and what reaffirmed your commitment?
At one point, I questioned whether I was truly making an impact. That doubt faded after receiving a heartfelt message from a client who described how our work together had given them the courage to pursue their dreams. Their words reminded me why I started this journey and renewed my commitment to healing.
Have you learned from challenges or setbacks in your work?
I once facilitated a session where I felt I hadn’t fully connected with the client. Reflecting on the experience, I identified ways to enhance my communication and adapt my approach. This setback became a valuable learning opportunity, reminding me that growth often emerges from challenges.
Was there an unexpected success that validated your work?
I was approached by an organization to create a program centred on emotional resilience. What started as a small initiative quickly gained traction and reached a wider audience than I’d imagined. This unexpected success showed me the ripple effect that intentional healing work can create.
Are there cross-cultural inspirations that influence your methods?
During my travels, I was introduced to the concept of “forest bathing” in Japan, immersing oneself in nature to restore balance and reduce stress. I’ve since integrated elements of this practice into my work, helping clients find solace and connection through nature.
