Healing is an inside job. It takes time and intention. Manifestation can be one of the easiest and most accessible resources to utilize for anyone on a healing journey. The root of manifestation is taking back control of our thoughts and taking inspired action, both of which require your attention but not money, making these tools accessible to anyone.
If you are in the depths of your pain, I recommend turning to manifestation daily until you are feeling better. When you are back in your window of tolerance and feel like yourself again, you can continue to use manifestation to improve every area of your life.
1. Visualization and guided meditation
Visualization and guided meditations can be used in many different areas of your life. Below are two easy visualizations you can do from the comfort of your bed. All you need to do is close your eyes, put on some soft spa or meditation music, and begin to visualize. If you need help, you can find guided versions on my YouTube channel @breakuptoblissful. Once you have done these, they are always there for you to come back to when you are ruminating over an ex or anything else. Visualizations are a great way to force yourself to bring yourself back into your body and a positive thought space. You may be surprised by the little things you notice in life that are things you first visualize during meditation.
a. Visualize your ideal day from the time you wake up until the time you go to bed
This should include what you look like, where you live, what your home looks like, what you do for work, your hobbies, the food you eat, the clothes in your closet, the people around you, and the way you get around. Be as detailed as your imagination can go.
b. Visualize your highest self
Deep down inside us, we are connected to the best version of ourselves. We know exactly who they are, what they do, what they look like, and the qualities they have and do not have. Visualize this version of yourself, feel their energy, and make the notes you need to about this person and how you can get closer to being the highest version of yourself one baby step at a time.
Hot tip! Put “What would my highest self do today?” on a sticky note on your bathroom mirror or side table so you see it every morning. This small prompt can help you get out of a dark place as this reminder will get you into the habit of taking both small and big steps towards your happiness and progress every single day. Asking myself, “What would my highest self do today?” is what got me out of depression after the end of my marriage.
2. Cord cutting
Cord Cutting is a form of guided meditation that helps you release the energetic ties to people who are not good for you to have in your life. Removing negative people, places, and influences in our lives is very important to anyone’s healing journey. This meditation can help you in this process, and there are many free versions available on YouTube if you just search Cord Cutting Meditation.
4. Burning ceremonies
Burning ceremonies can be very powerful tools for letting go of the past and creating room for greatness to come into your life. You can simply write down what you no longer want in your life, from your personality traits to someone who isn’t good for your well-being, to feeling states, to anything you want really, and then burn the letter. Doing this on a full moon is extra powerful.
5. Thought work
Thought work is removing your limiting beliefs and negative self-talk. This is a big one. If you look in the mirror and tell yourself what a loser you are or how ugly something on your body is, how can you thrive? When you notice yourself in a negative thought spiral or ruminating on unhelpful topics, it’s time to jump in with some thought work. There are tons of ways to do this, but a few easy ones are:
Writing out the reasons the thoughts are not true. Keep it to return to if need be.
Thought records, the CBT method.
Role reversal. Imagine a friend saying this about themselves. How would you respond?
Re-writing your story. Example: rather than write about how you are so out of shape and unattractive, write a story of yourself being motivated, taking steps to take care of yourself, and reaching a fitness goal.
Work with a therapist or coach.
Get back into your body with a guided meditation or visualization.
6. Saying no
I truly believe saying no to what you don’t want is the key to getting what you do want. The universe/god/what you believe in is always listening. If you keep entertaining men who don’t value you because you are lonely, the source will think you like it and send you more of the same. This goes for all areas of your life. Until you say no more, the door is closed on what is best for you and what you truly want.
Don’t hold onto toxic relationships to keep the peace. It’s blocking your biggest supporters and the right community from coming into your life.
7. Positive affirmations
Using affirmations can help shift your mindset to focus on healing and recovery, fostering self-love and acceptance. I use these daily. My favorites are:
I am open to all miracles coming my way
Money comes easily to me
My dream life is my real life
I am healthy and thriving every day
8. Setting intentions for manifestation
Setting intentions is the most important and easiest tool I will share in this article. It is vital to your life that you live with intention if you have high ambitions. Set intentions all the time to live with clarity. What is your intention in this lifetime? What is your intention with healing? What is your intention in your class today? How can you live more intentionally?
I hope this helps; happy manifesting!
