To start with, I personally love when other relevant people call me on my BS, because that's what makes us better.
Showing me where I am possibly getting in my own way and helping me 'free' myself from that box of crap I unintentionally put myself into, is in my opinion, priceless.
I hope I will do something similar here for you. I am gonna call you on your BS, too, because why not. In the end, I want what is best for you.
And I also want to challenge your thinking so you can get to the next-level thinking so that you can get to the next level in your business. Otherwise, with your current-level thinking, you will stay at your current level. So, let's talk about those 5 mindsets that are doing you no favor. Let's dive in:
1. Cost vs Investment There is a huge difference between cost and investment. Small-thinking onlinepreneurs look at business investments as sunk costs. They think: 'This cost me $1000 now and so it's gone forever'.
They often misunderstand that investing in their business is not the same as buying shoes, a car, or a first-class flight ticket. Let's make no mistake ‒ shoes, car and first-class flight tickets are sunk costs ‒ it's money spent on stuff that brings short-term pleasure yet have zero additional return with time. Next-level onlinepreneurs see investments as, well, INVESTMENTS. Now, what's the actual difference between sunk costs and investment? The investment comes with a return. Meaning, you end up getting more or earning more than what you invested.
2. Earring and THEN learning Small-thinking onlinepreneurs believe that first, they need to earn a certain amount of money and then invest in a mentor or a coach. Yet, they've got that backwards. Learning, having support from someone who has already been there can not only get you to your goal faster but also save you hundreds of dollars because of simply helping you avoid mistakes you most likely would make.
Think about this: Do you go to college to get a degree to get a good job but you tell the college that you refuse to pay tuition until you get a job? Nope.
Next-level business owners understand they need to invest first, and by doing so, they know they’ll grow their businesses and create the 2-10X return they’re looking for.
To get to the next level, you have to invest like a next-level business owner and learn so you can earn. Not the other way around! 3. Lump sum vs month by month Real-life example: when I was in a position to hire a VA and a few other members to my team, I got so caught up in a panic that I need to have the money for paying them for a whole year upfront. I was getting a little ahead of myself and that stressed me out. You don't need it all up front, as didn't I. If you have that, that's great, but do not let that overwhelm swallow you and stop you from hiring someone or investing in something which investments you can get back the next day, next week, or next month. And all of a sudden those worries were completely irrelevant, I know ;). What is the point here: Next-level onlinepreneurs think about the long-term return and set themselves up to make it happen. 4. Letting fear take charge Don't let the fear win. I mean it. And believe me, there are times when I am full of fear and I don't let it define me. Make sure you are in charge. Make sure you take time to reflect on where is this fear coming from, what lesson it is supposed to deliver, and then keep going. Take full control, you are in charge. Next-level onlinepreneurs focus on their vision, on the future they want to create, the impact they are here to make, action they need to take and beliefs they need to hold on to and make their dream reality. So even though you are full of fear sometimes, or someone else is projecting their fear on you, remember that you are stronger than you think. 5. Letting current circumstances control your decisions
There is only so much you can witness and experience with your senses and there is another, completely new realm that starts beyond your senses and beyond this 3D physical world. It's the realm of endless possibilities and potentialities where you are completely unlimited. There is nothing like circumstances or unfavorable conditions that would stand in your way. You are a creator. You have access to this realm any time you want. Next-level onlinepreneurs are not letting circumstances make the choice for them. Your circumstances are mostly in your head. They are often 'time and money' excuses because you are not willing to step up and play a bigger game. So who are you choosing to be from today?
