I was having a conversation with a close friend, the other day, about what truly holds us back from building wealth as women. Although there was a lot said, there is one thing I said that stuck. Out of nowhere it flowed from my mouth and took me by surprise as much as her. I said, “forgiveness and imagination are two of the most powerful assets for building wealth.”

Over generations, we have been conditioned to believe that we have to make the money first, and then life will be wonderful. The ‘word on the street’ is work hard, hustle fast, put everything truly important to you on hold ‘for now and one day you’ll have the money to live the life of freedom you dream of. But here’s the ironic part… that’s NOT what the wealthy do. Especially wealthy women.

Before any sustainable shifts can occur in your bank account you must walk an Energetic Pathway first. You are an energetic being, as soon as you shift your vibration things will happen without struggle, strife and volatility. Instead, you will begin to feel like you’re being pulled towards your desires as opposed to constantly pushing that boulder up a hill.

One of the first things you’ll notice is a new surge of hope. Although there may not be a lot of physical evidence, you’ll FEEL a shift. This shift must come BEFORE you see your finances changing for good.

What does it take? It takes becoming deeply aware of your current financial position, shifting your vibration to match that of your desires and consistent practice of mending your relationship with money through building the three following habits.

3 Ways To Shift Your Bank Account Quickly:

1. Forgiveness - Forgive yourself to wealth!

It took me a long time to realize that I had to DO THE WORK of forgiveness to experience the power of it in my life. In many of the teachings that crossed my path over the years, forgiveness was strongly recommended. I never took it seriously for two reasons. One, I didn't understand HOW to do forgiveness work, and two, I simply didn't believe it could make a real difference.

Then I learned about Ho’oponopono. And found it was the quickest and most profound way to experience the shift I needed energetically.

What do you need to forgive?

Throughout your life, you’ve had experiences with money that’s created a story in your mind about what money is, how to interact with it and what part it plays in your life.

It’s irrelevant whether you grew up poor, middle class or rich you’re living through a belief system that got you where you are and is keeping you where you’re at. Over the years your circumstances may have changed but if you look closely you’ll see that you’re running patterns that won’t allow you to reach the level you desire let alone the next level.

How do you know what beliefs are holding you back, to forgive them?

Whatever triggers you. When we have an emotional response to something then it’s the first indicator that there is some ‘unfinished business that needs healing and clearing. Pay attention to your inner experience while you go about your life. Your ‘money stories’ are always coming to the surface, it is just a matter of noticing them, having the courage to accept them, and practicing forgiveness for each.

An example is this; When I was speaking to a friend about filing our taxes, I caught myself claiming that the government had to “get us somewhere”. When it came out of my mouth, I immediately went and wrote it down so I could dig into where it was coming from and forgive it. This belief is not my truth, it is simply one that I have been conditioned with growing up. Wealthy people don’t put the power of their finances in the government, and they have the same government! If someone else can build wealth in my country, so can I! This belief leaves me feeling helpless. Giving away my power to a source outside of me ultimately will hold me back from taking full responsibility for my finances.

How to practice forgiveness... Ho’oponopono.

Ho’oponopono is hands down the most powerful practice that I have ever used. I get quick results from it, it’s simple and the practice doesn't take long ! These are the reasons I highly recommend it. It’s an ancient Hawian forgiveness ritual or prayer that's so simple, believing in it enough to give it a fair shot, is half the battle.

Quick precursor, there are many ways to practice forgiveness and if you have your way and it’s impacting you, keep doing it! There is no one way to do anything.

I choose Ho’oponopono specifically because it has had the quickest and most noticeable impact in my life. I’ve had sessions where I physically feel the belief dissipate in minutes, leaving me feeling light, joyful and free. It is liberating.

The How-To:

Start with focusing on one of your limiting beliefs. One of the most common ones for women is "The men(man) in my life are better with money than I am."

Sit in a quiet space, clear of distraction. Write the belief down, close your eyes and chant the four magic sentences - I am sorry, please forgive me, I love you, thank you... over and over again, in different voice tones and frequencies, while holding the belief in your consciousness.

Surrender to the thoughts and feelings that come up, allow them to flow through you without attaching to them. Feel all the sensations that arise. You may begin to cry, laugh, shake, tingle or anything else. Continue to chant the four sentences. Memories may start to arise, deep emotions may begin to come to the surface.

This, my dear, means energy is moving and things are clearing.

You may cycle through emotions about people in your life, who may play a part in the creation of the belief. Continue the chant until you either feel profound relief wash over you, or you have simply had enough. It is important to have grace with yourself. Depending on the belief, you could experience a lot of discomforts and it may take more than one session to completely release it.

A consistent daily practice of this with each belief you discover will create undeniable shifts in your life. You will begin to feel like a new person. You will find yourself responding to situations and people differently and may find yourself making decisions with more ease.

This is the work, it is always ongoing. I do it weekly, although I started with a daily practice or just whenever I felt called to do it. This practice only takes minutes... It is so quick and powerful, you owe it to yourself to start now!

2. Imagination - Imagine yourself to wealth!

Imagination is gifted to us at birth, it is our vehicle as children to achieve joy, hope and it pushes us into unknown territory, which ultimately promotes our expansion into how we experience the world around us. Every great invention that's advanced the human race has all begun in the world of imagination. It’s the world that initiates everything we see within our human experience.

Every day, you’re creating through imagination whether you are conscious of it or not. It is either moving you towards the life you desire or away from the life you desire. There is good news though, you can shift the way you use this magnificent gift by practicing it every day.

Just like brushing your teeth or working out, change happens through the daily habit of dedicating a small amount of time to it. It doesn't have to be an hour, 30 minutes or even 15 minutes. 5 Minutes will do the job.

Key distinctions for an impactful imagination practice

There are some very important distinctions I want to make clear:

First, the one that I didn't understand for a long time and once I got it and started to practice it, it changed everything. It’s not only getting clear on what it is you truly desire but WHY it is you desire it. Your WHY is outside of you, it is bigger than you. This is what will keep you driving forward no matter the roadblocks you face… and you WILL face roadblocks.

Second, you must become the person that achieves the outcome you desire. So, the second distinction is imagining/visualizing how you act, what you see, and most importantly how you feel as if you are the person who achieved and is experiencing your desired life.

Third, engage all senses. Imagination is no joke, it works. However, it only works if you can convince your brain that you are already experiencing your desired outcome. To do this, you must engage all your senses. What do you see? Who do you see? What do you hear? Smell? Feel on your skin? Once you dive into these questions it will cultivate your emotions, and the most powerful part of imagination are the emotions you feel.

This is when you begin to align your energetic vibration with that of your desires. The more frequent and intense you can achieve this experience the faster you call in the abundance you desire.

You will notice that the more you practice, the more often you’ll catch yourself living in your desired world, as the person you desire to be. And this dictates your thoughts, which dictate your emotions, your beliefs and ultimately your actions.

This is exactly what the ultra-wealthy do, this is their reality.

3. Parenting Your Thoughts - Parent yourself to wealth!

For some reason, we believe that as soon as we hit adulthood according to society's age standards, we no longer need parenting. I’ve learned that this belief is extremely detrimental. It causes us to fall into autopilot, and begin to accept the beliefs and behaviours that don’t serve us as ‘who we are’ and it takes quite a bit of pain to realize that it’s us that has to change for our lives to begin to manifest differently.

The time and pain are unnecessary if we realized that we always need to be parented as human beings, the responsibility simply shifts from our parents to ourselves.

Where do you start?

Define who you want to be in this life you’ve been gifted. Without having a clear picture of who you want to be, there are no parameters to govern your choices and behaviour. Who do you want to be for your loved ones, your friends, your co-workers, yourself? Who do you need to be to achieve your desires?

If these questions stump you, a good place to start is by thinking of someone you admire, in any area of life. When you have a picture of that person, ask yourself what it is about that person that you admire? Start there.

Take the time to paint this picture for yourself, even if it feels tedious. It’s vital to start distinguishing between thoughts that serve you and ones that don’t.

If the person you want to be isn’t broke, instead their surrounded by abundance and wealth then the thought “I’m broke” on repetition would feel out of line with who you desire to be.

“I’m broke” can quickly be shifted to “I have so much abundance around me” and this shift practiced consistently will transform your life, change is inevitable once you start consciously parenting your thoughts.

Summary

Each of these habits plays a role in building wealth, all being vital. When they are combined they create undeniable shifts. Results from these habits don’t discriminate.

Just like brushing your teeth or eating nutritious food, it’s the action you take daily that will bring you the quickest results. Brushing your teeth twice a day is best, but once is better than not at all. Eating clean every meal is best, but simply cutting out one bad food will bring noticeable change over time. The same goes for implementing these habits, diligent practice twice a day is best, but simply having the intentions and starting is better than staying stuck month after month, and watching life pass by.

You can build wealth from wherever you are right now. Don’t look to your bank account for the shift, look within.

You were born abundant and you are closer to your truth than you realize.
