To elevate your mind, your thoughts, retrain your brain for a new response, wanting a different mood than the one you're in, we’ve all been there. Finding the thoughts that free our mind and instantly we can feel different like the wave of a magic wand. The magic is really us choosing self-reflection and a fresh direction with new choices from our mindset toolbox.

Lift yourself by tapping into the expansion of energy, and all of a sudden, you feel great, happy, and feel that palatable shift in the energy around you. So much better than that mood or feeling where you were mentally down. Moods can take you from being present to the dark places of our mind, our old stories which are not true and limit us from moving forward, or we get mentally stuck without seeing options and possibilities. We can spiral down in many forms of negativity for minutes or several hours, as being held against our will. We end up in the boxing match with ourselves and go-rounds in this place of mental limitations that are not serving us or anyone else.
When things don’t go right or the way we want, it can affect our mood. Stressful situations at home and work can affect our frame of mind along with the continuous changes from the pandemic. We get caught up in everything that is happening outside of us instead of what is happening inside of us.
What can I do to be proactive about creating the mood I want to experience or shifting back into an uplifted state of mind from the less than desirable one that we can find ourselves in from any situation?
Mindset Tool 1. Recreating From A Memory
Identify the new feeling that you want to feel instead of the place you are currently in. Remember a time when you experienced the feeling you want to feel now; joy, happiness, peace, confidence, hope, excitement, power, or the desired state. Remember what you felt, what you saw, what you smelt, what you heard, the emotions of the experience, and recreate it in your mind until you feel the feelings of that time. If you don’t have a positive experience or memory of a time, create a new one, design a moment where you would have that joy, peace, or happiness, etc., and feel how it would feel now. Keep working with these memories until you feel the desired emotion or uplifted energy.
Mindset Tool 2. Give You Words To Others
Take 2-5 minutes and give words of appreciation, recognition, gratitude, acknowledgment, or love to another person. Not just a quick compliment, but really dig into your heart and share what you feel without judging it, without being afraid or embarrassed. Give your thoughts, feelings, and emotions with freedom. As you spend time in these positive emotions, you are also accessing the vibrations of the words and moving up the vibration scale; as you give in love, you will find that you entered a gateway, an opening to elevated energy.
Mindset Tool 3. The Recognition Of Receiving
When life happens and a negative mood is present, it's a perfect time to search and look for everything being given to you and see the support that is in your life. What worked out this week? What felt good? Where did ease and grace show up? What spontaneity has come into our life recently? Who has offered to help, and we say no, I’ve got it. What compliments have shown up, acts of service, or kind encouraging words? When we receive and allow receiving into our life, we are being supported. We are familiar with the old saying that it's easy to give and hard to receive. The recognition of receiving supports us in being uplifted and feeling new energy. Receive with your heart, set aside your inner critic and the ego, and look into your world of what you have received.
Add these tools to your mindset toolbox, experiment with them, and use them, and they will not let you down. Taking action is the key!
