10 Energy Boosting Habits For A More Productive Happy Life

Learning how to manage your energy throughout each day is vitally important for your success and overall sense of well-being and is determined by whether you are a high or low-energy person.

But how to tell if you are a high energy person or low energy person?

Let's take a moment to find out by reflecting on an average day and answering these questions honestly with a 'yes' or 'no' to see which of these apply:

  • I have plenty of time for self-care and prioritizing my basic needs for rest and relaxation?

  • I wake up refreshed and can easily spring out of bed ready for the day?

  • When I get home, I still have the energy to work out, make a home-cooked meal, or do activities with my family or all of the above?

  • It's easy to start my day in a good mood, with energy and focus?

  • I’m able to stay in a good mood even when things go wrong?

  • When I'm done with a full day at work, I look forward to connecting and having conversations with my loved ones?

If you answered 'No" to at least three or more of these questions then you are most likely a low energy person.

Before you read on, I invite you to please take a moment to honor yourself because you just achieved awareness of where you are so you can start to take steps in a better feeling direction. Next, extend yourself some grace and compassion because you are not alone. In our culture, it is almost an expectation that we lead busy lives filled with a surplus of responsibilities from work, family, and other obligations, to achieve success from the hustle, however, the problem is, that it often leaves us low on energy and running on empty.


The truth is, we’ve made wearing ourselves out a commonly practiced and energy-draining lifestyle. For most of us, the day rules us and you are operating in a time scarcity mode of being too busy, not enough time to get things done, overwhelmed, overcommitted, and way too much responsibility. There's no wonder you feel drained, depleted, and too exhausted to take care of yourself. Our energy levels impact the quality of life on a day-to-day basis and the good news is that energy is a renewable resource that can be replenished and enhanced but first it requires you to make and very important mindset shift.

Let's be clear, you don't need more time in the day you need to reclaim your focus, attention, and energy by being more intentional with where you place them. In order to do that it requires replacing the habit of trying to manage time to complete every item on our ‘to-do lists’ and instead prioritize it and manage your energy accordingly by having less responsibility, fewer commitments, and fewer obligations.


Doing this will help you develop your ability to generate, elevate, and sustain the valuable resources of mental, emotional, and physical energy which you could be using to put into action that inspired business ideas, create something new, innovate new solutions for your organization or business or it can even open up the flow of creativity to invent something new that can solve a big problem that would change the world.


Here are the 10 High Energy Power Habits You Can Apply Immediately to Create More Ease and Fulfillment in your day-to-day.

  • Predetermine and choose how you will feel before you start the day

  • Set an intention and be deliberate with your energy and what you want to achieve before taking action, or interacting with others

  • Practice Presence by appreciating what is happening in any 'now' with gratitude

  • Incorporate the Power of the Pause to reconnect with yourself - Close your eyes for two minutes and mentally scan the body to sense what you need and tend to it.

  • Always assume that good things and the happiest outcomes will happen because what you assume becomes your reality (this is a bonus manifesting power move)

  • Prepare for difficulties by deciding in advance that you easily handle them with grace and a solution is always nearby for you to recognize when you stay calm

  • Set appointments with reminders to Prioritize pleasure and joy by allocating time on your calendar to reconnect with joy.

  • Optimize holistic health and wellness from the inside out by feeding your mind, body, and spirit with energy-enhancing nourishment that comes in the form of information to health-enhancing food, exercise, and heart-centered connection with others.

  • Stay open to all possibilities, new ideas, and new experiences.

  • Allow yourself to ask for and receive support when needed.

Bottom line, we all have a lot to do and a fixed amount of energy but by making the mindset shifts, removing what drains you, and shifting your priorities you can effectively change the course of your life and open up the flow of creative potential buried beneath the busy but it's up to you.
