Tuera's clinical experience includes assisting clients experiencing anxiety, depression, race-based trauma, LGBTQIA concerns, self-image concerns, family conflict, and isolation. Tuera works to create a space in which clients feel safe as well as empowered as they explore their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. She uses a client-centered approach and ultimately aims to restore clients with a sense of balance and control. In addition to her clinical work, Tuera instructs at the collegiate level, consults for several behavioral health programs, and has facilitated workshops to promote healthy relationships between mothers and daughters for nonprofit organizations across the United States.
