Licensed Clinical Social Worker

Tiesha Taylor began her professional career in 2006 by enlisting in the United States Air Force Reserve, where she serves as an Air Force medic and Senior Enlisted Officer with 18 years of service as a medic, trainer, and program manager. A combat veteran, Tiesha completed a tour of duty in Bagram, Afghanistan, in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. Upon returning, she earned her Bachelor's degree in Sociology from the University of Mobile and her Master's degree in Social Work from The University of Alabama.

Tiesha has completed several internships focused on family rights and unification, including working with the District Attorney's Office to support families victimized by crime. She has worked for non-profit agencies as a case manager, providing housing and community resources to displaced youth and the homeless veteran population of Mobile and Baldwin Counties. Tiesha's dedication to veterans continued in the Post 9/11 Transition and Care Management Office, where she assisted returning service members from Operation Enduring Freedom, Operation Iraqi Freedom, and Operation New Dawn Campaigns.

Later, Tiesha served as a mental health therapist with a local primary care agency, offering mental health therapy to community members. In April 2021, she launched The Faces of Black Mental Health Podcast to educate the public about mental health, mental wealth, and mental stability. A year later, Tiesha earned her Independent Clinical Social Work license and established her private practice, Faces Therapeutic and Wellness. Tiesha is committed to empowering, educating, and motivating individuals to prioritize their mental health.
