Shareefah Hamilton Davis is a Board-Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner who earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from Chicago’s prestigious Rush University. With over a decade of experience as a psychiatric and mental health nurse in New York and Florida, Dr. Davis brings extensive expertise to her practice.
 
At Woosah Wellness, Dr. Davis approaches patient care with empathy and respect, providing individualized attention to guide patients toward remission and their maximum potential. She focuses on helping patients heal and realize their inner strength through a holistic approach to evidence-based treatment. While medication can be helpful, it often does not address the environmental factors that may adversely affect the body, mind, and spirit. Therefore, Dr. Davis emphasizes the importance of self-care, proper nutrition, and exercise in healing, fostering a nurturing environment and a strong therapist-patient alliance. While she is well-versed in treating all psychiatric disorders, she chooses to specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of ADHD.
 
Growing up with several family members affected by psychiatric problems, Dr. Davis frequently accompanied them to treatment. She witnessed the stigma of mental illness firsthand, a stigma that persists today. She also saw the profound need for compassionate healthcare providers, which inspired her to become a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner.

With roots in Jamaica, Dr. Davis cherishes the Jamaican motto, “Out of many, one people.” This has shaped her worldview, fostering a love and respect for people of all colors, shapes, sizes, religions, genders, and sexual orientations. At Woosah Wellness, Dr. Davis and her team are dedicated to ending the stigma around mental health and supporting patients on their journey to wellness.
 
While patient care is paramount, Dr. Davis also advocates for the well-being of mental health practitioners. Acknowledging the limitations of existing electronic health record systems, she is pioneering a groundbreaking solution. She is currently collaborating with the software powerhouse, Xeven Solutions, on developing an EHR dedicated to normalizing mental health conversations, eliminating stigma, and fostering support. Woosah Wellness invites donors and angel investors to participate in revolutionizing mental health care on a global scale.
