Sandtrice Denise Russell is a licensed professional counselor with nearly 20 years of experience in the helping profession. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology from the University of West Georgia in 2004 and later obtained a Master of Science Degree in Clinical Mental Health from Troy State University in 2012. Sandtrice is currently a Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas and Georgia, a Certified Professional Counselor Supervisor in the State of Georgia as well as a National Board-Certified Counselor. Sandtrice also provides Tele-Mental Health services for Florida residents.
 
Throughout her career Sandtrice has worked with individuals across various populations providing mental health counseling, career counseling, mentorship, and life coaching services. She has worked in a variety of settings to include residential group homes, outpatient mental health, inpatient mental health, and community-based counseling.
 
Sandtrice specializes in working with clients coping with depression, anxiety, relationship issues, anger management, trauma, and individuals of the LGBTQIA+ community who are seeking a safe space. She also has experience working with Veterans and Active-Duty Serviceman who have been impacted by Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).
 
In addition to her role as a Licensed Mental Health professional, Sandtrice is also the author of the “Minding my Own Mental Health” Self-Care Journal, a Motivational Speaker, and host of the Self Aware & F**ked Up Podcast™. She also teaches CE courses for therapists and social workers, related to cultural competency in working with historical trauma in BIPOC communities in her workshop “The Bigger Picture.” Additionally she provides corporate consulting and DE&I workshops for organizations.
