She also earned a Master of Education in Educational Administration and a Master of Science in Professional Counseling from Grand Canyon University. Currently, she is pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy in General Psychology with an emphasis is Cognition and Instruction from Grand Canyon University. Her current study takes a closer look at how adverse childhood trauma affects adults in romantic relationships. Her long-term research interests will expand on that topic to include examining the effects of past trauma on a person’s current mental state. The goal of this study is to show how once the root source of a person’s trauma is identified, then they can start the process of healing through therapy and ultimately have better mental health.
Renisha strives to continue to advance professionally, including teaching at the collegiate level to help develop future teachers and counselors in their respective fields of study, expanding her private counseling practice, and becoming an author.
