Psychotherapist and Life Coach

Dr. Nichelle Chandler is a dynamic mother and wife and the founder of Brooktree Counseling & Consulting, PLLC, and Lupus Freedom. Dr. Nichelle is a seasoned psychotherapist and life coach dedicated to helping individuals reach their full potential.

Dr. Nichelle's career began humbly as an investigator for Child Protective Services in Texas. Her desire to make a broader impact led her to pursue a career in psychotherapy.

Dr. Nichelle's deep affinity for women drives her work. She provides a safe and empowering space for them to explore and navigate their concerns, whether it's managing relationships, depression, anxiety, stress, coping with trauma, or enhancing self-esteem. Her ultimate goal is to empower women to harness their strengths and achieve their full potential.

Dr. Nichelle's journey with Lupus profoundly influences her approach to therapy. Diagnosed early in her career, she spent nearly a decade grappling with the physical toll of the disease. It wasn't until she explored the connection between her mental and physical health that she experienced a complete transformation. Now, she feels as vibrant as she did in her twenties before her diagnosis.

Dr. Nichelle's firsthand experience with the mental aspect of living with Lupus uniquely positions her to support other women living with Lupus. She founded Lupus Freedom specifically to address the mental health needs of women living with Lupus and other autoimmune diseases. Dr. Nichelle takes a holistic approach to caring for Lupus patients, often integrating dietary and lifestyle changes into personalized treatment plans to address all aspects of their well-being.

Recognizing a growing need among her clients for support beyond traditional therapy, Dr. Nichelle expanded her practice to include life coaching. Her unwavering commitment to empowering, motivating, and educating her clients is the cornerstone of her practice. She guides them to overcome mental roadblocks and unconscious processes that may hinder their progress, instilling confidence and trust in their abilities.

Throughout her extensive career, Dr. Nichelle has worked in diverse settings, from drug rehabilitation facilities to mental health clinics, serving individuals of all ages and backgrounds. Her broad experience and expertise, particularly in the treatment of Substance Use Disorders and Addictions, have supported countless teens and adults in their recovery journeys. This wealth of knowledge underscores her ability to understand and address various mental health issues, instilling confidence in her potential clients.

Besides her professional accomplishments, Dr. Nichelle enjoys an active lifestyle, dancing, biking, hiking, and exploring new places with loved ones. She values family time at home and cooking meals with her daughter. Her eclectic palate reflects her love for Tex-Mex, Thai, and soul food.
