Miriam Moffat
Graduate Sport Rehabilitator and Educator
Miri’s journey is rooted in a lifelong passion for learning, influenced by her late father. After teaching A-Level Biology and GCSE Science for 15 years, Miri sought more fulfilment, which led her to fitness and sport rehabilitation. Inspired by her own experience with low back pain, she trained as a Fitness Instructor and later earned a Master’s in Sport Rehabilitation. Despite enjoying teaching, the intense demands of the job took a toll on her health, pushing her to prioritise her well-being.
Miri’s greatest career achievement lies in her ability to foster student growth and confidence. She thrives on seeing students grasp challenging concepts and gain new skills. She also completed several 4-day cycling challenges from London to Paris, raising funds for Action Medical Research, a charity close to her heart due to personal loss.
Miri is currently building her own successful wellness practice. After a brief return to teaching, she recognized the opportunity to prioritise her long-held dream of starting her own business, stepping away from the demands of the job to fully embrace her passion. Miri’s desire to empower women through health and confidence so that they can earn more money, drives her mission. Her core values—diligence, integrity, generosity, and graciousness—guide both her personal and professional life.
Looking ahead, Miri foresees leading a wellness practice that incorporates STOTT® Pilates and coaching, with a particular focus on women’s empowerment. Her dream is to establish a portable business that will enable her family to thrive, ideally in Israel. Miri’s driving force is helping others overcome physical and emotional challenges, so they can live fulfilling, healthier lives. She believes integrity is key to this journey, encouraging others to face their fears and step outside their comfort zones to achieve success.
Miri is a member of the Sports Massage Association (SMA), British Association of Sport Rehabilitators and Trainers (BASRaT) and the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC). She is a former Clinical Skills Teacher at London South Bank University.
