Registered Clinical Counsellor

Mila Loskutova is a Registered Clinical Counsellor based in Vancouver, British Columbia. She holds a Master of Counselling degree from the City University of Seattle and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Alberta. Mila dedicates herself to providing trauma-informed care for vulnerable groups, particularly LGBTQIA2S+ communities.

Mila’s career began as a probation officer in Alberta, where she spent nearly a decade working with a diverse client base, conducting risk assessments, and helping manage high-risk offenders. She had then worked as a yoga teacher, which sparked her interest in mindfulness and bottom-up regulation. Mila’s clinical work included family reunification work through MCFD and supporting individuals recovering from trauma and injuries.

These experiences laid a strong foundation for her later work, and she now focuses on helping individuals navigate trauma, anxiety, and OCD. Mila is committed to supporting her clients. She uses her training in various therapies, including: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).

Mila’s approach to counseling is centered on empathy, respect, and a deep commitment to helping her clients find the support they need. She is registered with the British Columbia Association of Clinical Counsellors and continues to seek out opportunities for professional growth and development.
