Maria Höfflin is a multifaceted and aspiring brand designer with a strong vision for a holistic approach to branding. Her personal and professional journey, transitioning from a space engineer to a yoga teacher before entering the field of brand design, has shaped her commitment to positively impacting the well-being of the planet.
Born and grown up in the homeland of the eminent Russian artist I.I. Shishkin, Maria was deeply influenced by the beauty of his paintings and the local scenic landscapes. This early exposure to nature and art fostered her passion for beauty and drawing, culminating in her graduation with excellence from art school.
While pursuing a degree in space engineering, Maria embarked on a journey of self-discovery, leading her to yoga. This practice profoundly altered her perspective, encouraging a more mindful lifestyle.
Maria excelled in her engineering studies and, after moving to Germany, began her career with the German space agency. Throughout this period, she continued to draw and explore new techniques, while deepening her commitment to yoga.
It was during an intensive inner work at yoga teacher training course that Maria realized her true calling was in design and creative freedom. Following this revelation, she earned a Bachelor of Arts and established her own design studio, specializing in holistic branding solutions.
Maria is a firm believer that inner and outer harmony fosters healthier and more fulfilling relationships with ourselves and the environment. Her work is dedicated to creating aesthetically appealing and conscious brands aimed at contributing to a more harmonious and sustainable future.
Currently, Maria leads Nirmalāya, collaborating closely with clients to achieve a clear understanding of their brand’s essence. This clarity enables her to craft meaningful brand identities that resonate with target audiences. Her vision is to shape a future where aesthetics, purpose, and sustainability converge seamlessly, fostering a harmonious and prosperous world for both brands and consumers.
