Dr. LeKeshia Mathis is a Doctor of Social Work committed to empowering both individuals and communities. With over a decade of experience, she focuses on mental health, child welfare, and proactive prevention strategies to tackle social issues before they worsen. Her path in social work is driven by a strong belief in social justice and the impactful nature of support and advocacy. Dr. Mathis earned her Master of Science in Psychology with a specialization in applied behavioral analysis from Capella University, a Master of Social Work from the University of New England, and a Doctor of Social Work from Capella University. She is also a Licensed Master Social Worker in Arizona and a Licensed Social Worker Associate Independent Clinical in Washington. Her educational background has provided her with the skills necessary to navigate complex social systems and deliver tailored interventions to meet the specific needs of her clients. Throughout her professional journey, she has engaged with a wide range of populations, including children and families involved in child welfare services, youth facing behavioral challenges, adults and youth struggling with mental health and addiction issues, transient individuals, those classified as seriously mentally ill, and incarcerated individuals. Her methodology is characterized by collaboration and compassion, emphasizing the importance of hope, healing, and resilience for those she serves. She firmly believes in the inherent potential of every individual to overcome obstacles and achieve fulfilling lives. As a social worker, her role is to facilitate this journey by offering support, resources, and advocacy. She is dedicated to ongoing education and remains informed about best practices to effectively assist her clients.
