Lauren Turner

Yoga & Pilates Teacher

Lauren came to do her teacher training after significant personal turmoil and trained in Vinyasa Flow in Costa Rica, finding Blue Osa, a school on the Osa Peninsula in Puerto Jimenez. After what was an immensely transformational experience she came back and starting teaching almost straight away online, in a lockdown world. We slowly emerged and she thought she would teach a couple of classes a week as a hobby, but it just grew and grew with her reputation. She started to run workshops and working exclusively in studios.

Lauren found a niche in progressive practice, teaching students the art of inversions, arm balances and learning to trust themselves upside down. Showing students what they are capable of, believing in breaking down self-imposed limits and allowing students to develop and grow out of their comfort zone.
This journey as a teacher then progressed to retreats abroad, creating holistic wellbeing retreats focussing both on creating a consistent & deep meditation practice as well as progressing student’s physical practice.
Lauren continued developing her knowledge completing her initial Rocket training with Leon London. Bringing Rocket Inspired yoga to the Midlands.

Lauren also finished her Pilates training during this period to better help her students on an individual level and to fuel her belief in intuitive teaching.

Lauren believes in always being a student and staying humble. Yoga is a lifelong journey, and she focusses on being just a little bit better each day. Trusting how the posture feels, not what it looks like and understanding the mind body connection, using yoga to manage mental stress and not just for the physical asanas.

Her goal is to enrich each student day with her classes. Knowing she can improve how they feel even the smallest amount gives her so much energy and sense of purpose.

Most importantly giving students a safe space to be who they are. Yoga is a journey into the self, the most important relationship we will ever cultivate.
