Lamar Greene

Full-Spectrum Doula and Spiritual Coach

Lamar Greene is a full spectrum doula, spiritual life coach, and budding community herbalist with a meaningful background in reproductive health advocacy both in the U.S. and globally. Their passion for reproductive justice, a movement about bodily autonomy and healthy communities, is deeply motivated from being raised by a single mother in a food desert. Greene believes that their life experiences were intended to be preparation for their higher calling as a healer. They are the founder of Doula Alchemist Healing, a Black and Queer owned healing practice centered around reproductive justice and spirituality.

Greene earned a B.A. in Human Health at Emory University on a Gates Millennium Scholarship, and they were awarded a Truman Scholarship for their health equity research and advocacy. Their interest in spirituality was sparked in 2017 by a summer study abroad trip living and learning amongst Tibetan monastic communities in India. Since then, they have been on a journey of awakening and becoming. They completed their Full Spectrum Doula Certification with Birthing Advocacy Doula Trainings and their Spiritual Life Coach Certification with Transformation Academy™. They also completed an “Herbal Medicine Making for Birth Support” course with Hood Herbalism, a BIPOC community herbal education space. They are currently receiving mentorship from the Commonsense Childbirth Institute and being trained in The JJ Way®, an evidence-based framework that significantly reduces disparities in health and birth outcomes.

Lamar was inspired to create Doula Alchemist Healing due to the many contributions of the Black and Indigenous Grand Midwives and traditional healers. In addition to being evidence-based and trauma-informed, the services draw from traditional themes of African American healing including reproductive care work, community herbalism, and divination. The mission is to advance reproductive justice and healing justice for all while centering those most marginalized.
