Katie Dixon is a Licensed Professional Counselor, psychotherapist and the owner and founder of Healing in Action Counseling Services LLC. She provides teletherapy services to a diverse client base and offers support for a wide range of experiences. Her areas of specialty include grief and trauma therapy, navigating interpersonal conflict, negative self-image and anxiety disorders. Dixon is committed to spreading awareness about the benefits of therapy and the impact of improved mental health on overall wellness. Dixon began her career as an educator. Through her involvement in supporting students and their families for over a decade, she was inspired to pursue her dream of becoming a counselor. Dixon went on to obtain a master's degree in Mental Health Counseling from the University of Pennsylvania. After gaining valuable experience working in a group practice, she decided to start her own private practice. Dixon believes in the power of connection and uses this as her guiding principle in her work with clients. She is also passionate about mentoring and collaborating with other professionals in the mental health field.
