Kara became a registered nurse in the state of Minnesota in 2013 where she practiced inpatient psychiatric nursing at the downtown county hospital, Hennepin Healthcare. She received her undergraduate degree Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2015 at Capella University. In 2021, Kara became certified as an IIN health and wellness coach and began working with clients in 1:1 and group coaching settings who struggle with eating disorders, weight, and digestive health problems. She wrote three books on addressing the root of these health concerns.
