This is the first step in K. Joia Houheneka's philosophy, one dedicated to exploring human greatness and flourishing.
 
Joia began her career as a Ph.D. candidate in the Humanities at NYU. However, she came to realize that academia could never fulfill the freedom-focused lifestyle she craved. She left with a vision of human potential, a desire to empower more people to live deeply meaningful lives, and a commitment to pursue entrepreneurship.
 
She became a coach and had a first significant epiphany when she realized her own most profound transformations came through travel experiences. So, she decided to integrate travel into her offers and plunged headlong to develop the skills and tools to be a successful travel advisor, ultimately establishing her own agency brand, Delve Travel.
 
A second epiphany came when she found herself simultaneously drawn to, yet cautious of, the luxury sector of travel. Confronting this vexing sense of contradiction head-on, she came to realize that she admired luxury's pursuit of the highest levels of excellence, yet was simultaneously dismayed by the many ways current "luxury brands" fall short of this ideal.
 
This sparked new wide-ranging research, a new focus for her travel brand, and a new life mission to Elevate Luxury to make luxury truly synonymous with excellence.
 
Today, Joia is "The World's Premier Excellence Coach" where she empowers other entrepreneurs building high-end, premium, and luxury brands with her deep insights on luxury business strategy in combination with peak performance training focused on flow states and self-actualization.
