Julie Christiansen has an extensive background in mental health counselling, public speaking that spans almost 30 years. Julie holds an undergraduate degree in Psychology and a graduate degree in Counselling Psychology. Julie is a Registered Psychotherapist, a highly rated motivational speaker and author with decades of experience entertaining, educating, and inspiring audiences. Julie is also the founder and host of Freedomology, the Podcast. Her latest book is titled, The Rise of Rage.
 
Julie is the president and CEO of Leverage U, the vehicle through which she embodies her purpose and mission to leverage people and organizations into radical, positive, lasting change. Julie works with individuals, groups, and organizations to create radical change from the inside out. Her firm belief is that every problem is at its heart a relationship problem. Using her proprietary tools of Transformational Education and Relationship Rehab, she empowers her clients to discover and master the art of courageous communication. Leverage U’s client list includes the military, federal and provincial police, correctional institutions, healthcare organizations, mental health and addictions agencies, educational institutions, corporate bodies, and practitioners in private practice.
 
Julie has appeared as an expert for a host of national, regional, and local media outlets for topics related to anger, stress, bullying, and emotional mastery. She has also consulted with various producers providing insight into their program content – including the Anderson Cooper Show, The Hunted, and programs in preparation for Investigations Discovery. Julie is the proud recipient of Niagara’s 40 Under 40 award, the Toastmasters Communication Leadership Award, the 2023 Women of Heart Award for Innovation in Mental Health, Education 2.0’s Recognition for Innovation in Education, and the 2024 Passion Purpose Peace Award.
