Career Transition Coach

Diana Stephens, Founder Mindful Job Alignment, has always enjoyed helping people brainstorm options about their career. Her relentless curiosity drives her to dig deeper for more innovative answers.

Having been a casualty of five corporate layoffs in ten years, she knows all too well the life disruption caused by a job transition. She walked that path for over 16 years, the career chaos, health challenges and eldercare for a parent with Alzheimer’s. All of this caused severe financial issues and deep stress in her life. Her quest to feel more secure became a journey to make sense of the chaos, understand why it happened and establish simple mindfulness and motivational practices for stress relief and to bring balance, stability, and serenity back to her life.  She also created a tactical job search action plan which incorporated mindfulness as well as must have job search techniques such as resume and LinkedIn practices.

This journey led her to complete her PhD in Holistic coaching. It was during her doctoral studies that her “mess became her mission” so, she created Mindful Job Alignment, based on her doctoral dissertation “A Mindful Approach to Job Search.”

During her journey, she has studied various mindfulness techniques that she believes anyone can bring into their life in a simple cost-efficient way. She wants to share this knowledge with you, so that you too can make sense of the difficult times and move forward with a vision for your future.

In Spring 2023, Diana was one of the authors in Mission Matters, Volume 10 with her article "Understanding the Grief Caused by Career Transitions." This book is available on Amazon.

In addition to her PhD, she also has an MBA in Marketing and a Master and Bachelor of Music in Voice Performance. She is a seeker and is always taking some kind of class!

She is a Certified Empowerment and Motivational Professional (CEMP) and Certified Digital Career Strategist (CDCS) through the Professional Association of Resume Writers and Career Coaches (PARWCC). She is also a Certified Infinite Possibilities Trainer (certified by Mike Dooley, TUT.com), Reiki Master Teacher (Usui lineage), and a Doterra International Certified Essential Oil specialist. She utilizes a variety of these holistic techniques in her coaching practice.

Prior to starting her own company, she had over 35 years in corporate account management for a variety of Fortune 500 companies, in various consumer products verticals calling on National Retailers. She has also worked as a Customer Success Manager in the Software as a Service (SaaS) industry.

Fun fact: Diana was a member of Chicago Symphony Chorus for 11 years and was part of the Grammy Award winning chorus in 2011 for the Verdi Requiem, conducted by Riccardo Muti.
