Dawn Whyte

Career Coach

Dawn Whyte is a seasoned coach and consultant with a wealth of experience in the aviation industry, including 30 years as an air traffic controller. She has also served as an instructor at the British Columbia Institute of Technology, developed Air Traffic Services training programs, and delivered keynote speeches at multiple conferences. Dawn has dedicated 10 years to leading and coaching her teams in traffic management, empowering people to reach their full potential. Alongside her ATC certification and licensing, she has completed formal education in leadership, change management, and the Life Coach Certification program at Rhodes Wellness College in Vancouver. Combining her aviation expertise with life coaching skills, Dawn has collaborated with international pilot unions, major U.S. airports, and air traffic controllers worldwide.

Dawn recognizes the challenges and culture of the aviation industry.  Understanding how the cyclical nature of the industry can test the most experienced veteran, she identified an opportunity to support individuals and teams manage change in a new and unprecedented way.   Leveraging her own experience, Dawn developed resilience training and wellness workshops to promote mental health and wellness. Her authentic approach and connection to high-performing teams ensure that safety and wellness concerns within the aviation community are effectively addressed from the ground up.

Health and wellness are integral to her life; she has been a dedicated runner for 30 years. When she's not running around her neighborhood, you can find her on the golf course with her daughter and husband or traveling as much as possible.
