Commencing his career in banking in 1977 with the Commercial Bank of Australia (CBA), Chris moved through the ranks over a seven-year period—working on the State Managers' Staff (CBA)—before joining the legal department of Westpac Bank for a further three years. The CBA and Bank of New South Wales merged to create Westpac. He then took on a position with Teachers Credit Society (TCS), culminating in managing the second-largest branch in Western Australia. Chris remained with TCS for four years before being offered a position with a legal firm in the Perth CBD, working in the conveyancing department. In 1989, Chris joined Norwich Union as an advisor. Over time, this industry evolved into what is now known as the financial planning industry. He remained in that industry for over 30 years and held not only an authorized representative agreement but also an Australian Financial Services Licence (AFSL). The last five years have been spent working with his own businesses, helping people understand financial products and developing systems and products to facilitate and demonstrate the opportunities available with clever financial structures.
