Andrea Yearsley

Creative Leadership Coach

From the outside, Andrea Yearsley appeared to be super successful in the Creative Industry, but she was a mess behind the scenes. She worked all hours to meet every demand, drinking half a bottle of wine each night to lull herself to sleep and wrestling with imposter syndrome. The fear that someone younger and more talented might swoop in to snatch her place at work consumed her. She had no real social life, had lost touch with old friends, and felt like she was on a relentless roundabout that she couldn't get off.

A session with a therapist revealed the not-so-shocking truth: She had control issues (who would’ve guessed?). That revelation ignited a profound journey of self-discovery and growth, during which Andrea trained as a certified women’s coach and clinical hypnotherapist.

So, how did she arrive at this moment? Well, she kicked off her career as a circus dancer (yes, really) before diving headfirst into the vibrant world of West End theatres. By age 24, she was a stage manager at the iconic Sydney Opera House, where a visionary director recognised her potential and nudged her toward directing. Her journey took a thrilling turn when she transitioned into television. Starting as an undercover journalist, she quickly progressed to directing. Her work was recognised with a BAFTA for her first film, which solidified her reputation in the industry. She quickly scaled the ranks to become a Series Producer, showcasing her ability to navigate and excel in high-pressure environments.

Andrea is passionate about reshaping the creative industry into a more supportive, inclusive, and people-focused environment. She refuses to let female voices fade into the background or watch talented women abandon careers they love due to burnout.

So, how does she work? Together with her clients, she develops transformative strategies that enable them to lead confidently and clearly, ensuring they can steer their organisations toward ambitious goals without compromising their personal well-being or that of their team.

With 25 years of diverse production experience, Andrea specialises in crafting bespoke coaching solutions that deliver measurable results. Her clients have successfully enhanced team engagement, fostered innovative cultures, and achieved remarkable growth while reclaiming their passion for creativity.
